I’ve introduced a couple of people into this peculiar institution. They all loved it. We’re it not for my mentoring, they never would have taken the plunge. It is not available where we come from and it can be intimidating to learn the ropes. There is potential for rip offs and even LE around every corner. I know because I learned from the school of hard knocks. They all want to go back to hobby land for another trip. As a consequence, I would say in the USA the number is lower than Canada and maybe the rest of the world. Say 20%.
In Brazil, men seeing prostitutes is a way of life. Just about the only men that do not see prostitutes (GPs) are guys that can no longer perform or cannot afford it. I would say 90% have paid for sex. My buddy and his dad have picked up prostitutes during the same trip and the father went to the seminary for awhile.

I will take a guess, guys that pay for it regularly ( at least once a month ) 20-25%. Guys that paid for it at least once in their life 50-66%.

I of course agree with you. Nobody should take polls or surveys too seriously. I provided these polls to add a little context and a few ha ha"s. Honesty is a very important parameter.
I'm just turning 40, and yes, I think the stigma is decreasing. Also the internet made it a lot easier, you can just choose on a site, read reviews and get the girl at your place or at the hotel, no fear of being caught.
I'd say that also, recently with the Metoo moovement on Facebook and Instagram, (not condoning it by the way some of the stories seems to really have fucked up some of those nice womans) nobody wants to end up on a public list so lot of younger guys just dont try as hard in the bars, clubs etc. Most girls will be on Tinder if they are looking for a one night stand. So a lot of times, if you're at a bar or with friends, you try your luck with a girl, dosent work, and you live in a city like MTL... you just stop by the massage parlour on your way back and for around 250-300$ you get a complete service for an hour. There are so many places open really late where the 20-30 year old guys live, Rosemeont, VIlleray, Hochelaga, St-Henri, etc

A friend of mine went to Brazil many many times, in great part*** for the 'scene'. From the way he talked about it, there were bars with real pros but there was a huge number of 'non pros" who didn't see it as prostitution. He was addicted to Brazil for a long time lol

Yes. Just because someone pays for sex, it doesn't mean it's their only way to get laid. That's really the misconception even clients have about other men who pay for sex. I used to find it a little amusing when a younger, physically good looking client would bring this up and, feeling good about himself, announce that I must be really feeling lucky to have a good looking client, compared to, you know, all the other clients I have to see. The clear assumption being that all of our clients are old, gross and awful to be with. But just today, we were blessed by the goddess of whores, with a rare specimen. Lol
I really wish people didn't believe that to be the reality. Go to any men's clothing store or shopping anywhere, and that is what a client looks like. Younger older, tall, short, clean shaved, stubble, trimmed or unkept beards, nice teeth or bad teeth, bald or shaved head, grumpy, jovial, new fancy shoes, old work boots, sweat pants, car keys in hands, buss pass or bike lock. Teacher, carpenter, student, unemployed, retired, introvert, extrovert. Normal.
I think that in order to be good at what you do, to be happy doing it and to last in this business, age and physical good looks is really not the criteria that we attach a significant amount of importance to. It's quite likely the appointment with the middle aged, perhaps average looking client that will turn into amazing chemistry.
Chemistry is the ultimate goal, for me anyway, and in my opinion, looks alone cannot make chemistry. They're only one small ingredient but may or may not even be involved in attraction/chemistry.

It’s got to be a high number, like 75% in the general population.
As some have said, it certainly increases with age. Also dependent on the culture/country. It must be 90% in places like France and Brazil, where it is more accepted and a rite of passage.
When I was in Brazil, I was working with a colleague who was about 6-10 years older. Had a beautiful DDG wife around my age. I was like this dudes sooooo lucky, and she was cool as Fu&k. Anywhoo, they would have me over most days of week for dinner. The trip to his place with traffic would be an hour @ 5pm. Instead he would take me to a terma Usually bang a chic and then we would head home for dinner and then I’d get dropped @ my place. After a while I felt really bad goin over to his wife and seeing her. The terma would be packed with dudes one of whom explained to me it’s very much in culture. Got same vibe when I was in Manila.
