I am actually surprised that not more SPs have a short introduction reel/video.
Body language, motion and voice can be extremely enticing.

Indeed, but it's more complicated when you don't show your face, and you wouldn't want people to hear your voice either. Making one yourself is also harder, so it's a less accessible art.

I am thinking of doing one but finding an artist that masters the art of video and editing is not easy.

Oh yeah for sure. I was referring to those that already openly show their face. A good videographer is harder to find but I think it’s worth the investment long term.

Ça c’est un très bon point parce que les gens qui me rencontre en personne disent toujours “je te pensais plus grande”. Je n’ai jamais édité ou demandé à ce qu’on édite mes photos pour me faire paraître plus grande.

Donc dans un sens ont pourrait dire que mes photos ne sont pas representatives de la réalité mais pourtant elles n’ont pas été éditées. Les couleurs ont été rehaussés ou changées seulement

Tout photographe digne de ce nom sait que le choix de focale et le choix d'angle peut faire varier du mieux au pire les proportions du sujet. Un certain niveau de distortion est parfois inévitable, il est alors approprié de faire les corrections dans photoshop pour ajuster le résultat à la réalité.

J'ai commencé à faire plus d'argent quand j'ai commencé à faire des photos pro donc je pense que je vais me fier à cette expérience. Ça a beau être une publicité, je peux dire la même chose des beaux hamburgers dans les pubs du McDonalds et pourtant le fait qu'ils ne soient pas aussi parfaits IRL n'empêche pas certains d'y aller, et même de dire que c'est leur fast food pref (I remember this about you Mike lol)

Je ne peux pas parler pour les autres mais dans mon cas mes photoshoots je les fais aussi par plaisir parce que j'aime ça (et trouve ça thérapeutique même lol) et je publie mes photos sur mon Instagram perso où des photographes me contactent pour travailler ensemble et où mon agence de modeling me publie. Donc non c'est pas "juste une pub d'escorte".

J'ai pensé a utiliser cette analogie mais je me suis dit que j'allais me faire taper sur les doights si je comparais des femmes a des ... hamburgers... lol. Mais c'est vrai tu as raison ils sont plus beau sur les pub. Meme chose pour les pubs d'epicerie. Mais bon on s'entend que la majorité du monde savent de quoi on l'air les bigmacs et les pubs servent plus a les avertir de nouvelles promotions et/ou saveur qu'autre chose. Mais je me rapelle avoir vue une video youtube d'un gars qui avait fait le teste et avais retourner son bigmac et avais demander a ce qu'il soit "comme sur la pub" et ils lui en avaient donner un beaucoup mieux niveau presentation (sans etre exactement au meme niveau). Mais le client Mcdo de base on s'entend il a faim et est pas la pour la presentation. Sinon ouais ce fut a une epoque mon fast food preferer. Mais j'en ai tellement manger que si possible je vais ailleurs maintenant genre si ya un BK ou PFK ou encore AEW pas loins, je vais la. Je vais chez Mcdo encore surtout par convenience la majorité du temps. Surtout a Montreal on dirais yen a par coin de rue.

Mais bref je disais juste que c'est un peu décevant quand les photos sont "tres retouché" et que finalement c'est pas la realité. Mais par exemple dans ton cas ou d'autre indy ils y en a souvent des nouvelles, bref plus facile pour qqu qui vous as jamais vu en vrai de ce faire une idée. Mais certaine fille d'agence genre on les même photos depuis 3-4 ans et yen a 3-4. Dans ses cas la c'est pas la meme chose disons. Un ptit refresh au 6-8 mois serait bien, sans payer un photoshoot pro, juste une ami avec un iphone peux faire de tres belles photos de nos jour.

La publicité c'est TOUT ce que j'ai. C'est pas "juste" une publicité, c'est mon gagne-pain.

Mais je dois dire qu'une photo même naturelle n'est pas nécessairement représentative de la réalité. à l'oeil nu, ou parce que la luminosité n'était absoluement pas idéale et fait ressortir ce que l'oeil ne verra jamais.

Ca peut-etre pas sortie comme je voulais. C'était pas a conotation négative. C'était au sense que c'est la pour donné une idée au client de la personne qu'il va rencontré. Une photo peux etre artistique mais dans ce cas la c'est le but premier rechercher. Alors qu'ici ce n'est pas le "but premier". Peut-etre je m'exprime encore mal mais bon.

OUF! ce sera mon dernier commentaire sur le sujet puisque manifestement tu semble préférer ton opinion non fondée au détriment de toute information qui ne la corrobore pas. "mes jambes me font paraître plus grandes" devrait être "...mes photos font paraître mes jambes plus grandes". Tes propres photos illustrent parfaitement mon propos: La photo debout au mur a été prise avec une grande angle (+- 35mm) en contre-plongée au niveau de tes fesses ce qui introduit une distorsion de perspective et te fait paraître plus grande... Dans la réalité, le haut de ta tête à 5'2" n'arrive évidemment pas à la même hauteur que le haut du cadrage de porte !!! La photo à genoux appuyé sur le sofa illustre le même genre de distorsion: optique grand angle et prise de vue au niveau des fesses avec caméra angulée vers le bas / l'angle est évident en regardant le côté du sofa qui penche vers l'intérieur. Longue vie dans ton métier...

Clearly photos are your kryptonite and make you irrationally upset. Just go on EI and you’ll find plenty of raw photos, unaltered/unedited.

Lmfaoooo his argument got me so confused. Is he under the impression that everyone has the exact same proportions? If your legs are long in proportion compared to your torso people will assume you're taller than you are. I have the opposite issue where my torso is long-ish compared to my legs and people routinely think I'm smaller than I actually am, regardless of the angle of my photos.

No photos. We have tons and tons of photos now, a website for most and social media to show our personality just to give you everything you can desire to make the best decision for your Sunday evening, and it's still not right, or not real enough.

But clients also need to remember that we are not on Tinder trying to be "ourselves" and show the "real us". I am Giselle, and she can be whoever I want her to be, and that's first and foremost a dream, a fantasy. Don't expect thing to be too close to reality.

How do you know someone's weight that precisely by just looking at them? 120 pounds looks different on different people based on factors like height, muscle mass, etc

I think the point was how can you evaluate someone’s weight just by having a look at them?

People would think I weigh xxx just by looking at me but I actually weigh xx. Like Julia says not everyone carries weight the same way.

Just like me and my duo partner are the same bra cup but people never believe us because our boobs are shaped differently.
