Completely agree. Republicans need to nominate someone younger, polished and possibly more on the conservative side. I see the country trying to go way to far to the left in the next few years. That's ok if your in NYC, Los Angeles, Chicago, or Portland, but the historical amount of people that came out of the woodwork to vote for Trump and more so for the Republican Party indicated to me at least that many on the right are sick and tired of this extreme left agenda. O'casio Cortez and the squad types will push Biden hard to swing to left which will further divide the country. Biden has an incredibly tough job ahead of him and I think the toughest part is going to get his party in line. Republicans will learn from this loss and increase their numbers with younger voters accordingly. Democrats knew that the way to win this election was to get their party on board with utilizing the mail in vote and it was very successful.

Trump fucked up on it royally like most of the leaders in the world and payed the price.
If elections were to be held right now in many countries there would be a boat load of leaders that would end up exacrly like Trump because the majority fucked up, nobody expected this or was prepared for this.
What I find strange is that the world has been so lenient with China for unleashing this plague upon all of us, and I am in no way talking about the Chinese people but their corrupt government assholes that placed the same kind of value on life in the rest of the world as they do on their own people and spread this everywhere.

100%, elections get lost when the economy goes south and people are out of work. Trump wins the election if Covid does not happen. Biden essentially backed in to a win; he was a proven loser previously. While I don't think Trump handled Covid well, his failures were mostly from a rhetorical standpoint. I am 100% convinced that the medical profession lulled politicians into believing Covid was just another strain of flu, in fact I have personal proof of this which I already posted earlier in the thread, and this was months before the pandemic hit. The medical profession allowed us all to get taken by surprise and let us down, and they still haven't been able to come up with a solution. Covid was basically a bitch-slap smackdown for the entire medical profession, and perhaps much needed, although at a terrible cost. The continued posts blaming Trump alone for the Covid death toll are false, incredibly ignorant and the people posting this nonsense should be banned for posting nonsense because he should not take all or even most of the blame.

Here is the reality, 200,000 plus die in the US no matter who is or was President. If you naively believe deaths will stop because Biden was elected or has a new team, forget it. We have 50 states all with their own laws and it is up to citizens to do the right thing if they are not being locked down. Trump had no power to lock people down or order masks be worn, these are traditional state powers which nobody outside the US seems to understand. Go read the 10th amendment and get your heads out of your asses. There were no lockdowns anywhere and that was not Trump's call, because it is not his call. End of story. Here is another truth: we learned that federalism is not Covid friendly. It is what it is, we are the only nation in the world of 50 states each with their own public health laws and agendas. And the result was States banning citizens of other States from entering to some level. We still have the travel advisory in CT, 8 months later. We were all told to wear a mask here in Quebec, better than that it is mandatory by law and you can get arrested and fined if you don’t wear it in all public buildings, our restaurants bars and gyms are all closed we cannot have any visitors in our homes or outside in our back yard, yet our death rate per million of population is worse than the US.
I am glad Trump is gone it is his fault. Biden will fix it.
