When dealing with popular indies, many are surprized to get no reply. From what I've gathered from these indies, they get a LOT of poorly written email requests or one liner's like "Hey babe, I want to see you now! Contact be back ASAP!". If someone gets 30 or 60 emails per day, do you think she will bother answering something like that? If she can reasonably pursue only a few of these requests, don't you think she will go for the ones which appear the most respectfull and decent?
Many times, I've been told "I answered your emails and decided to meet you because of your writings...". The game definitely starts there. If you win someone's attention the right way, by taking time to write properly, showing you respect others as much as yourself, it's always very rewarding in the end.

LOL. Come on Rex, as we've been successful in seeing many of the same indies, you're obviously doing a fine job in getting their attention! And judging from you excellent reviews, your writings are just fine.
Many people confuse style with proper spelling and grammar. Some may be more "stylish" than others, some may even be too "stylish" for that matter, but there's nothing wrong in keeping communications clean, polite and simple. With all the available writing assistance tools (dictionaries, spell/grammar utilities, etc.), it's hard to understand why some are doing such a bad job.

Elizabeth: the title "Miss" should be prepended only to the last name or first plus last name, not to the first. Hence Miss Elizabeth Labelle or Miss Labelle would be okay.

At the same time, many others who didn’t go through post-secondary school are writing just fine. To me, this is much more a reflection of someone's self-respect than anything. Through writings, whether you want to sell a product, your achievements, defend a cause or even sell yourself (ever tried to get a promotion or a new job?), you're showing part of who you are. If someone can't make the effort to do write correctly, to me this is telling a lot about the individual, whatever the size of his/her wallet might be.
As far as second language is concerned, I agree with Elizabeth that it’s not easy. Second language education in Quebec is not bad but it covers only the basics. To be proficient, you need much more than that. I’m French speaking but I was lucky to have an English immersion opportunity early on in my life. But you don’t necessarily need this to write decently and Elizabeth is doing great in keeping things clean within her comfort zone. I know this can be frustrating when you’re able to do it so more eloquently in your first language but, at least, you achieve your own communication objective on this board.
A Francophone who can’t or don’t want to write in English can always post in French but they do limit considerably their number of readers. That’s a personal decision and I totally respect someone who would do this. Thanks to internet translators, English speaking members can always get a sense of what is written in French but I suspect few make the effort to use these and just overlook French posts.
Then again, when I look at many of those French posters and see the very poor quality of the grammar and spelling, we’re unfortunately back to square one with those.

Seriously though, as somebody who is polyglot all i can say is make the effort guys. If you can't put a proper sentence together or introduce yourself, chances are the Escort will be very uneasy when she walks through that door. It is much better if you can leave a positive impression to start with, she will at least know you are not some drunk caveman, which should probably lead to her being much more comfortable with you.
