Great Idea

This!! I think this would indeed be the most cost effective way. And if you don’t feel like changing them yourself, hire a sexy sex worker who knows how to and let her do it for you and get some bonus fun after ;p hahah

That is exactly what I do ... less the hiring off a sexy sex worker .... know where I can find one that does house, I mean garage calls here in the States? Have to be up for handling my big 20" ers ... rims that is :)

Loved the post Julia!

I like Canadian Tire. Where else can you get a cookware set for $69.95 marked down from $799.95 :D

I take advantage of their sales where some stuff go for 80% off. For household and consumer goods it is as good a place as any and sometimes much better..

Canadian Tire charges me $56 for balancing my new tires when I bought them last month. When I asked how much it was for balancing and installation, they told me $68. I told them the prices are proportional to the work involved. To value balancing at 7 times the price of tire installation is a cash grab. I called Canadian Tire head office and spoke to the customer service department. They had no argument and will be sending me a $25 gift card to compensate.

I called customer service as well and complained. They also offered me the $25 gift card to keep me happy.

I have not changed my tires yet, this would be an incentive to do them now, man the image i have in my head, you all greased up and dirty in a pair of sexy overalls, zipper pulled down to just below your cleavage area.:eyebrows:......Ok, where do i sign up for this service. LOL.. And forget changing the tires, just show up in the overalls.

The world economy is moving towards a recession. Canadian Tire Corp has full say over prices of merchandise the franchisers sell, if they dictate that an item will be sold for 70% or 80% off the franchisers must sell it at that price. The logic in giving away merchandise is that it brings in shoppers to their stores. The only place the franchisers has control over pricing is in the tire department. In order to make extra money they gouge the consumer on balancing of tires. The only retaliation you do on Canadian Tire is to only buy their on sale flyer items to limit their profits.

MERB is an amazingly resourceful place. I bought my tires for 25% off at Canadian Tire with a 40X Canadian Tire money bonus. From info on this thread I called their customer service department and they will be sending me a $25 gift card for being over charged for the tire balancing. I will also be receiving $100 rebate for my tires.

Check the Canadian Tire rebate page.
