Everyone,

Reports keep regularly coming in about what goes on in the Political Threads, and the moderation has observed an increase in uncivil behaviour in recent weeks.

A reminder that has been made before: this is an Escort review board first, not a political discussions forum. These spaces are provided as a courtesy to members who are also interested in these subjects. Yet, the moderators keep having to intervene on a regular basis to deal with breaches of the Forum Rules.

This is supposed to be an adult board and yet certain posters behave like teenagers having tamper tantrums. Insults, goading, trolling, etc., of any sort is therefore unacceptable.

The moderation maintains the expectation that the discussions in the political threads will be civil and fully adhere to the Forum Rules, especially when members are at opposite ends of the political spectrum. If it is not possible for you to engage in political discussions without insulting or trolling other members, do not engage with these members. Period.

Even The Gazette recognizes that Legault will not impose authoritarian abusive covid mandates before the October 3 election, if he does he will be loath. The PCQ keeps them in check, they have made rapid gains. Hope ppl make the right choice and say no to authoritarian governments, they got no place in a free democratic society.

So what poor decision on Air Canada’s part. That however had zero impact on any bodies life whereas the laws being implemented now discriminating against anglos will affect all that live in Quebec.
Apart from that Legault is a separatist pure and simple he has always been that from his PQ days and always will be whether you cry or not well you can guess my thoughts on that.

Only petty people can be concerned with something like that. Who cares if he speaks French or not? His job is to bring the corporation money, what language he speaks is irrelevant. It is kind of the same stunt the separatists pulled when they were whining about businesses greeting customers with Bonjour/Hi. Quebec is surrounded by English speaking provinces and a English speaking superpower, the language of business is English, accept it for what it is. However Legault is violating human rights and the constitution with his Bill 96 that will affect the livelihood of anglophones and allophones. The constitution guarantees to have justice in both official languages and also to have medical services in both languages. Legault is abusing the Notwithstanding Clause to pass bills that cannot be challenged in court because they violate the human charter of rights, he puts French above human rights (how low and despicable can he be?). We got a clown in a suit as prime minister and he is scared of Legault, his job is to enforce the constitution. Bill 96 should be thrown out of court. Instead of being so concerned with identity politics, what about addressing the situation in the hospitals? Several emergency rooms are running at reduced service. With the media reporting an increase of covid cases, nothing has been done to increase the capacity of the hospitals. What Legault's main concern is if people speak French at home? Now you see why Quebec is behind in all aspects. See you are neither left or right, you support dictators and collectivism. You are a populist and do not care for minority rights. You got a lot in common with Trump.
