How do you girls do to find somewhere to live , rent ?
like if you dont have any credit or salary declared its near impossible to find a place to live as they all do some credit check and its not like you can say « oh i’m an escort »
so i really wonder how you girls do it . I have been looking for awhile . Some insight would be appreciated.

sorry if this question does not belong here i just couldnt find where else to put it

all landlords care about is that you can pay on time.
loll couldn't be more wrong; they will be worried about possibilities of dealing with pimps, clients, drugs, late rental, late night noises,....and/or they will do like one landlord did with me when I asked how much was the rent :"it's depend on what you are ready to do... :eyebrows: "

[Simple solution, don’t want to rent, buy a house.[/QUOTE] Not practical Sam. How she can get a mortgage?
The best is having some legitimate occupation and income besides your SP work. The second way is to register a business (not incorporated). Come up with some legend and the business name. State some legitimate occupation that is mostly paid in cash (web page design, grooming and sitting with pets, cleaning, gardening, decorating a house, wedding banquet assistant etc.). Open an account for your business. From time to time ask some trusted friends to give you checks in exchange of cash, write on the check what is paid for. Declare your revenue, deducting legitimate business expenses (they are many and the part of the housing too), pay taxes. Show tax return to the landlord. It will cost you a few K$ in taxes but it worth it. Eventually if you are clever and inventive you may apply for the mortgage and buy a house.

Indeed. And there is even a shorter description of that advice. It is called "money laundering".

Can't be money laundering without crime. I thought we all agree here that prostitution is not a crime. If you have some other opinion, please express it in detail.

Well, why would she need that elaborate fake business scheme then? If her cash is legal, she should be able to deposit it directly into her bank account, shouldn't she?

This plan isn’t that elaborate, but she can perhaps persuade a friend of hers that has a business to put her on the payroll so to speak in layman’s terms. They could work out the details between themselves so nobody loses and I’m not talking about favours*.
I’ve known friends of mine who owned bars and restaurants and they didn’t have a problem helping out in this way.

That what working girls do in Holland and elsewhere, just stating profession as “personal entertainer”. Some countries and people are more hypocritical than other, you are the prime example. This is the main reason girls want to stay some other reasons in Quebec. By the way, prostitution is legal in Canada but hiding your income from taxation is not.

But this may be called pimping. How they can prove they are not taking the cut? Better for the girl to do it straight and don't depend on friends that one day may change heir mind...

Don’t know about pimping , don’t you think that’s a bit of a stretch? Lol
And I don’t think Amanda is considering declaring her income straight up MinutemenX for the obvious reasons of course.
Once you register as a sex worker it’s there for good I reckon.
And I agree with you ,, sometimes it’s not the best to owe people favours if you can help it best not to need to depend on them.
I personally don’t keep scores when I help people but most do .

But so far I must agree your advice seems the best .

a well know sp here told me she was unable to rent an appartment because of her lack of 'official' employment. She could make a years rent in a week if she wanted to.

I know of at least 1 sp who is paying for her house through this work. when I asked her how do you buy a house with cash, she said she had a good accountant...

If all sps started declaring their income, they would raise their rates. In fact, if and when prostitution becomes fully legitimized, the prices would really go up, or the sps would make a lot less.

I think the simplest solution is to have a part time job that you can tolerate.

Also, get a credit card, and pay off your balance religiously (with cash), your credit score will go very high very fast.

when i look at prospective tenants, i look to see if they are employed and their credit score. I dont ask the employer how much they make.

a couple other things i thought of.

if they ask how you can pay for the appartment working part time, say you have an inheritance...

start by renting a smaller cheaper appartment. offer 2 months rent in advance with a check, but not more, and not in cash, as it could raise suspicion. you can easily deposit a couple thousand in cash into a bank account without raising alarms.

after a few months of being a good tenant, upgrade. use the first appartment as a reference....

I've always wondered about such questions like the one that Amanda is asking. I know that for example, in the States, that you could had better be careful buying anything of significance with undeclared cash you have from an illegal business. As Marty (played by Jason Batemen) said in The Ozarks to the petty thieves that stole some of the cartel money he was laundering "All that is is a life's supply of gas a groceries." I even asked this question to a bunch of SPs at a Mansion party a few years ago. An SP from Toronto said "I keep mine in a box in my apartment." I looked at her and said something like "Don't say this in public." I didn't want anyone to get the idea of robbing her at a later date. Loose lips sink ships.

But my question is "how do you legitimize that money?" OK, your are an entertainer. I always thought that a girl should get a certificate to learn therapeutic massage. At any rate, you need to report enough income and pay taxes on it so that you can establish credit (if you need this) and open a bank accounts and buy houses and cars with cash, etc.

I also know that potential landlords can be skeptical. They don't want trouble and they don't want wear and tear and damage to their investment. They certainly don't want pimps and Johns on the premises or druggies. I've had a few girls say that they can't even wear heals on the wood floors because of the noise it makes for the other tenants! A landlord told me that he preferred not to rent to welfare or people on disability because they are in the house 24/7 and there is a lot more wear and tear on his investment. Also, it is a lengthy and cumbersome process to evict bad tenants.

It takes a long time... 2 years of declared income and usage of some credits (location of a car for example) which is duly paid on time is usually the start to get back on track. In this specific case time is too short you unfortunately need to find help. Someone to back you off for the credit check, a roomate, or rent from someone you personally know... Speaking about it to a lot of people will get you the lead you need I am sure.

Good advice indeed. Any girl doing this can simply declare she is a personal healer of some sort ;) Personal trainer or even Personal Fitness Trainer in the case of Amanda would be the best (anyone who have seen her victoria secret smoking body would agree ;) ).
Then you need to find a good accountant that will help you declare revenues, pay your monthly taxes and do end of year declaration. I understand most girl in the biz do not go that way because there in for a short time only. But I know of some girl that have completely "legalized" this work.
I do say legalized because as far as I know since c-36 what girls are doing is not illegal. So they only need to come up with a scheme to collect the donations without compromising their client... Who are illegal.

Cheers,

Spending some time with an honest accountant and an honest financial planner would be a good investment for Amanda. Are you that guy Jali that could help?

There is just something about the above quote. Escorting is legal in North America, correct? Selling and buying sex is illegal in most of the USA. Buying sex in Canada is illegal but selling it is not? So can a Canadian say "Yes, I'm a prostitute. Here's my 100$K/year" and no one is going to care where this comes from? If it is an illegal activity and Canada has decided not to prosecute the seller does this mean that the seller can set up shop and report income just like the baker next store and the shoemaker on the other side? It doesn't make sense to me. I think Amanda needs to get a part time job and a certificate of some sort ( I suggest becoming a masseuse or something and getting a certificate and actually learning the skill). She needs to hustle a bit. There is no time like the present.
