I watched the video and I think she is full of shit, and perpetrating racist stereotypes. I genuinely feel bad for her because I experienced all the things she is talking about, but not "only with brown men"
We all have a different client base depending on where we live, which area of the city, what platforms we advertise on, what our body type and look is.. When I started, I had similar conditions that she is describing in the video. I was new, I had no idea what I was doing, I had low rates and didn't know how to set boundaries properly. I attracted all the behaviors she named in the video, EXCEPT it was from men of ALL races. And honestly, it happened more with white and east asian men, because they were more entitled and privileged. It has to do with starting in the industry in certain conditions, not having clients of a specific race and ethnic background.
I agree with Michelle and everything else she said. I have not personally noticed a correlation between ethnicity or race and bad behavior. If anything, men who are heavily discriminated against tend to be more afraid of doing something wrong in my experience.
I honestly don't understand the point of generating arguments that are always the same and negative feelings in users. This is what I would call "stirring the pot".. Can we leave these discussions behind once and for all? There was no point in posting this here. The thread on X was already full of debates, there was no point in bringing it here.
