My thoughts about the ladies who advertise their services, both on merb and LL.
Do they think before they post their ads?
How can you claim the pictures you post are recent and hold up a board in the pictures that clearly states April 2024.
What is considered recent ?
For me, recent is within the last 6 months.

I agree for the most part but I also think that if they're pictures are still representative of them currently I have no problem with it. Usually tho they're using very old pics bc they DO look very different and that just sets it up for some people getting bait/switched.
Random thought but I kinda wish there were several food trucks here in downtown MTL, similar to NYC.

I know one who’s pictures are at least 8 years old or more and she is still advertising with those on Merb.
Kind of makes you wonder what she looks like now.
No sandwiches, but Fereira Cafe on Peel has great Portuguese and a great place to go on a dinner date.

I see it as a euphemism. It's a word that we rarely heard in this context in the past. We had boyfriend/girlfriend or husband/wife. It seems to me that people who use the word partner are trying to avoid having to admit that they are indeed in a romantic relationship.
Idk who needs to hear this but talking about my BJ skills from a decade ago is moot (even if it's positively). Ya girl has become so much better over the years 
I think sometimes people use that term because they don't want to reveal the gender of their significant other, or because they think it isn't relevant to the person who's listening.
But I understand what you said above, when I first heard people say it, I felt like it was a way to avoid saying it's a committed relationship. Right now I see it a bit differently in the sense that it sounds a bit more serious than boyfriend or girlfriend.. since people don't get married as much anymore they may refer to their significant other as a life partner.

I also had some words for my teachers and there was some all around admiration of my bartending skills.
