I miss the early 2010 years of Montreal where everything was so much cheaper, downtown Montreal was so much cleaner, no downtown road construction, HMV stores still existed and the Cineplex theaters were in way better condition.

I was at Mcleans pub today and gawked at the overinflated prices on it's menu. I remember in the early 2010s, it was way cheaper.
Hell, even in 2019.

Basically everything went to hell once Covid came and the city hasn't been the same since.
Cineplex in better condition? They are not that bad. At least the one I'm going to: Royalmount and The forum.

As for the inflation actually COVID kind of pause all of that, but it was at its peak right before. The inflation was real worldwide. Look back at all the worldwide news regarding the different movement protesting against harsher living conditions. I always thought that somehow COVID was God sent for all the governments who couldn't calm down those protests.

Book before she retires

Book before she no longer accepts new clients

Book before she moves across the country

Book before she enters an exclusive arrangement

Book before she raises her rates

Book before she gets busy

Or you’ll end up saying “I should have booked sooner”

If she's not there then someone else is. It's never good to get fixated on particular individuals because the industry is so fluid and because people inevitably come and go. She's no longer available? Oh well, there's a few thousand others who can fill the space. Neither clients nor SPs are precious or irreplaceable or indispensable, generally. I got that beaten out of me fairly early in the hobby, from both sides of the equation. At least from the professional standpoint. There were some lasting friendships that came out of it, but that's a different type of relationship that has nothing to do with the professional association.

I did « book before she retires » 3-4 times in the past and each time, i could feel that the service wasn’t the same so i no longer reach out when i see « last chance to see me ! » In my head, if you are about to retire in a month or two, you are pretty much already retired. SP are abviously not trying to gain or retain clients in this mindset.

In my sense it is more to make sure you are able to see a lady you intend to see before she advertises that she will retire. I fully agree with S a Neo’s point above in that sense that once advertised she is almost retired in her head…. Considering I aim at creating a connection with a lady no point in meeting a lady for the first time when she made this announcement!!! I’ve been seeing a number of ladies in the past years and found just a few with which I felt truly at ease. Bear with me generally a great service and all but I found one with which I feel really comfortable and at ease where I feel it truly clicks on both sides. I will often repeat with this wonderful lady before she retires, because it is inevitable it will happen someday….. making every moment count!!!

100% agree. The "I'm going to retire" thing to me is a clear sign that I should be investing time in someone else with whom I can create a lasting association and level of comfort rather than someone who has checked out. Of course some (not all by any means) of the "I'm going to retire" statements are just tricks to create urgency but aren't really imminent. Kind of like those "going out of business" store sales that last for 8 years.

At the end of the day I never feel like an opportunity was lost anymore. It's just simply a new opportunity to see someone else instead. There's no lack of interesting candidates.

Many times it is just a form of advertising.
If she retires she retires especially someone you have never seen before no big deal, plenty of others you can see.
If someone you have been seeing for many years and often that is a whole different story and even then if she retires that still doesn’t necessarily mean she won’t see you , it depends a lot on your relationship with her.

With @LC18 who I have come to know. It is only a fraction of self, to remind it is a last chance to book with her.
I believe the message is also intended to let others know, for anyone they are interested, don't wait to book with them.
Even if the provider is new, if things don't go well, they don't get enough inquiries, they may move on before you get your chance.
This year alone I have seen so many providers choosing to retire or move away. So many people I have looked up to are disappearing from the scene this year.

Not the end of the world.
We all retire and move on eventually and there are always new ones to take our place, what ever profession we are in.

It wasn’t about me :p

I am not going to move across the country to retire and enter an exclusive arrangement

It was a general reminder because I see so many “I should have booked sooner”

I guess it's a matter of perspective. I never miss the people I haven't seen. There's so many others that it really doesn't matter to me at all whether somebody I haven't seen before leaves or not. It's just not important. It matters to me much more that somebody that I have seen and like is leaving the industry and that I won't get a chance to see them anymore, because then there's a sense of loss, as there always is when somebody you enjoy having in your life disappears.
