I recently discovered a cool bar last night called La Drinkerie. It's on rue Notre Dame.

I like the place and the vibe it gives me, plus the hip trendy music they play. There's a couple of tvs there showing the game also. I think it might be my new favorite bar in that part of Montreal because I'm always looking for cool new bars to try.

Plus they serve food. Drinks are not that expensive also. Crowd feels late 20s to early 30s, my kinda crowd

And the tables are all each lit with these little candles which is cool.

It's Skym approved!

There is also Fameux Gyros Elatos for anyone who likes pita sandwiches . It’s a very small restaurant located near Jarry/ Querbes . Mostly for take out as it’s not much for ambiance but still a very popular place for gyro or souvlaki pita with that hot garlic bite from tzatziki. Highly recommended especially for those who like Gyro pita
* But probably not the best thing to eat before a date ;)

Hope that helps
Elatos, or Village Grec about 4 streets apart.

VG pitas are very nicely stuffed and pitas honoured with the crisp grill time on its underside which becomes the outerside once wrapped.

For sushi lovers and premium omakase experiences: Okeya is fantastic.
I still prefer Jun-I overall.

San Gennaro's Caprese pizza just next door from Bottega (same owner) is almost better than sex!
I do agree Gennaro's should be mentioned. Good sauce and toppings, decent crust. Tried them in the summer. Doesn't fit in any particular style even though they are somewhat shaping them into squares... they are like a neapolitan square. Waaay pricey for the product though.

I got some money to burn, so I ordered the New York steak with fries at Restaurant Grinder for lunch!

It's my first time eating a steak here, even though I heard many good things about this place.

I always wanted to see how good their steaks are here.

Anyone else been here? Restaurant Grinder?
