Retirement Announcement

This is my official retirement announcement from the hobby. I have had a lot of fun, met some interesting people and learned many things. I have been contemplating retirement for a while now and I have finally made the decision. As I think of the impact the hobby has had on my life I would like to say it was positive but I’m just not sure. I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars on it, I have lied to my friends and family, and I have even jeopardized my job because I often leave work early on Fridays just to get a jump on everyone else. This is a sad, sad day for me but effective immediately I am here by officially retiring from golf. Come on now, you didn’t think I meant “THE HOBBY”, that’s just stupid. Of course when spring comes I may just have to come back out of retirement. That seems to be the thing to do.

The difference between golf and the hobby is that when you're hobbying you can easily get in the hole in less than 6 strokes.

Oufff. Glad to learn that the first part of your post was not serious.
What a nightmare would that be when time will come for you, Shijak or Bryson would have to retire. May that day never come!

I was wondering why you need to leave work early on Fridays as those are not the best days for the hobby because the ladies want to go clubbing.

Early Fridays

Every day is good for the hobby; it’s just easier to slip out on Fridays. I think the best time is actually noon to 4pm (if I'm leaving work early) but that’s a personal preference, if I could enjoy the hobby at 6am on Fridays I would certainly do it. As for when the ladies want to go clubbing, I could care less.
