250/week is 13k per year. 500/week is 26k per year. So, you can spend 13-26 k on the hobby. Perhaps, you can spend 13k on the hobby and save 13k. Cut down on the shopping (buy used) and eating out (cook for yourself). You could easily save 30k or more.
I have been off the dating market for a while now 8 or 9 years, but in the last 2 months 2 women showed interest a dental hygienist asked me out for drinks and my neighbor girlfriend friend also wanted to meet me. The thing is when you been single for so long its more confusing to get back in a relationship. If you combine past life experience losing houses and more and the fact that most relationships never last.How about going on dates with civilians girl)! And if you find someone that’s great than it should help you to stop?!

I was talking to my mother the other night and she told me i should go out more, i said mom i am 52 where do you want me to go my clubbing days have been over for a very long time, and where to meet women theses days because most i met during my time online dating and been introduce where not serious at all.
Of course the decision to stop seeing my SP was also money related, at 140$ a shot, sometimes twice per week, that was between 800-1000$ per month which is insane. If you have the budget for this good for you, but me i don't.
I made some changes with my financial adviser and plan to retire before 60, also my SP wanted to raise her fees so another reason to stop, yes i miss sex but for now i need to control myself.

She aint that price anymore hahahah, she does not advertise anymore and she keeps her regulars, she as a full time job so she does SP on the side and she is pushing 40 so on her last leg i guess.
Invest in your health first. Engage in any sports. You’ll feel good about yourself and look better too. In some activities, you might meet nice ladies. Dancing classes are great, as are tennis and other sports. There's no need to go to clubs.
Invest in your wealth too. Learn new things. Network.

I found that the best way to beat this addiction is to have no money
I think it depends.. I can see it being a massive addition
It’s definitely an addiction for me when I’m not doing good. I could easily spend 1k in a week because I am going through something.
But when I get a nice routine with gym and hobbies ..I control myself way better.
I have couple of friends that are happily married have their regulars.. It’s best way of cheating without getting emotional involved.
I personally want and working towards making more money so I can comfortably have a weekly regular. Not interested in dating. I just wanna spend more time working on my projects.
So it really depends on you.. if you want to stop, just get busier and spend more time with people. Get new hobbies!

after a bad experience is the best time to stop it once and for all. Use the momentum of that bad experience to never book again. if you book frequently, you will experience a bad encounter at some point

finding "The one" is the ultimate solution but its very hard and if you do not enjoy the process of finding "your person" (starting conversation with strangers, going on many boring first-dates, accepting many rejections,etc) it's very frustrating and might push you back to booking SPs again
