Leonardo Rizzuto, youngest son of Vito Rizzuto and the current head of the Montreal mafia was arrested recently along with a number of his associates. This is the latest blow to the Rizzuto family in a long story of the decline of that particular clan of the mafia. But it certainly doesn't mean the end of organized crime in Montreal. If anything, this kind of instability in the world of organized crime often leads to upticks in violence due to other groups trying to move in on the operations controlled by those who got arrested.
