A video of Ukrainian soldiers using Russian-made BMP-3 tracked armored vehicle was recently published by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Ukrainian forces are using these vehicles to fight off the Russian army which originally owned them. Russian armored vehicles are not the only weapon Ukraine is using against Putin’s invading forces.

Earlier, Ukrainian forces captured a batch of intact Russian missiles and fired them back at Russian troops on May 22.

Smoke rose in Severodonetsk during heavy fighting between Ukrainian and Russian troops in Ukraine's Donbas on Monday.ARIS MESSINIS/AGENCE FRANCE-PRESSE/GETTY IMAGES

Russian forces took parts of Severodonetsk on Tuesday, as Moscow continued its push to take the strategically important city in Ukraine's Donbas.

The Russian-backed leader of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic, Leonid Pasechnik, told the Russian state-run TASS news agency on Tuesday that a third of Severodonetsk was controlled by separatist forces. Video from Chechen fighters allied with Russia in the city showed soldiers moving unimpeded in the city center.
The Luhansk region and neighboring Donetsk make up Donbas.

The fall of Severodonetsk would put the Russians closer to their goal of controlling Donbas.

“Street fighting continues in Severodonetsk,” said Luhansk Region Governor Serhiy Haidai, adding that Ukrainian forces were trying to drive Russian troops to the city’s outskirts.
Should Ukraine cede Severodonetsk to the Russians, Kyiv’s troops would likely fall back to the neighboring city of Lysychansk, which overlooks Severodonetsk from across the Siverskyi Donets River.

A Ukrainian court found two Russian soldiers guilty Tuesday of firing rockets indiscriminately toward civilian areas, in the country’s second war crimes trial since Moscow’s attempt at a full-scale invasion began in February.

Cpl. Oleksandr Ivanov and Pvt. Oleksandr Volodymyrovych Bobykin were each sentenced to 11 years and six months in prison, six months short of the maximum sentence in Ukraine for violating the laws of war.

Hear Zelensky’s message on 100th day of war in Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a brief video message that Ukrainians have been defending their country for 100 days against Russian aggression and that "victory shall be ours." CNN’s Ben Wedeman reports as fighting continues in multiple parts of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions, Russian forces are trying to advance from several directions as they seek to take more of the area, according to the Ukrainian military.

Caesar: Ukraine using France's Howitzer to destroy Russian combat vehicles.

Most importantly, CAESAR’s eight--long 52-caliber gun barrel could attain an impressive 26 miles using NATO base-bleed rounds (roughly $4,000 per shot).

Milan Anti-tank.
The Milan is a tube launched wire guided anti-tank missile. The launch post is reusable and is fitted with a sight unit.

FH70 Howitzer.
The FH70 is a powerful 155mm howitzer jointly developed by the United Kingdom and Germany.

A key benefit of the CAESAR and other mobile artillery is that they can unload their rounds then quickly move to another position. Why? Counter-artillery radar is a real problem - once a shell leaves the barrel, it's already been detected by enemy radar, which then quickly calculates the location. This location is sent to its own artillery for counter fire. This is the Swedish ARCHER system - which can fire off 3 rounds and move before the first round has even landed. Amazing.

U.S. authorities have obtained warrants to seize two U.S.-origin planes owned by Russian businessman Roman Abramovich for flying to Russia without a license required due to U.S. sanctions imposed on Moscow in response to its invasion of Ukraine, a Department of Justice official said on Monday.

Two Britons and a Moroccan who were captured while fighting for Ukraine have been sentenced to death by a Russian proxy court in eastern Ukraine.

Britons Aiden Aslin and Shaun Pinner, and Saaudun Brahim are accused of being mercenaries, Russian state media says.

The court, which is not internationally recognised, is in the pro-Russian so-called Donetsk People's Republic.

The men's lawyer said they all wished to appeal against the sentence, Russia's Tass news agency reports.

Russia's war continues to block much needed grain exports from Ukraine to the rest of the world.
The Ukrainian agriculture ministry has said that as long as the ports remain blocked, only a tenth of the country's current grain reserves can be exported by road and rail each month.
Turkey hosted Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov for talks aimed at reopening Ukrainian ports for shipments of grain.

The Ukrainian government says that as many as 25 Mmillion tons of grain are stuck in Odesa's blockaded Black Sea port.
Russia and Turkey voiced support Wednesday for a safe corridor in the Black Sea, with shipments flanked by the Turkish navy.
But Kyiv rejected the proposal, saying it was not credible.

Since Russia's invasion of Ukraine, global food prices have exploded, leading to the threat of a worsening hunger crisis in North Africa.

“This is hell on Earth,” Mace says quietly. We are watching as BM-21 Grad rockets rain down on Ukrainian positions near a village called Sviatohirsk. It’s impossible to see their individual effects amid the smoke and haze covering the densely forested hills. Standing in an observation post on high ground amid feathery grass and wild garlic, I give up on trying to count individual impacts and instead just count the salvos, timing each barrage. I witness as many as 480 rockets fired on a single position in less than a minute, followed by artillery.

Between my service in the U.S. Marines and over more than a decade as a foreign correspondent, I’ve been engaged in the professional study of organized human violence for 25 years. But I’ve never seen anything even close to this volume of artillery being unleashed.
