Even if you cut of the gas and oil exports, a lot of these oligarchs have so much undeclared assets, Putin is said to have $200 billion in assets. They will wipe out Ukraine before they go bankrupt. Military action is needed. I agree with Fradi. And remember Russia is the third biggest producer of gold after China and the USA and they bought up a lot of gold all done on the low. Cutting them off the swift system will not do much. The only ones that will be affected are ordinary citizens. The oligarchs and those in power will not be.

Perhaps if a couple of thousand NATO tanks and missiles showed up on the border of Poland, Romania and Hungary and German, French and British fighter planes took to the sky he would think differently. If they let him take Ukrain and all the West does is seize toys who is next Poland, Hungary, Romania.
