Scam Warning: Escorts Accepting Email Money Transfer

Merry Christmas all!

Be advised that some escorts are postings ads requesting email money transfer as deposit and they tell you to provide the password once you meet.

Interact (the company that offers email money transfers) has recently set up some banks to allow email money transfers without needing a password. Meaning once you send an email money transfer the funds will automatically be received into the account without any password necessary.

So be advised: DO NOT SEND any interact money transfers prior to meeting a provider.

But either way you should only do etransfers with reputable ladies who are well established and well reviewed here. Don't forget that sending an etransfer also means sending your full real name.

The only time I received a deposit without providing service was because the guy postponed twice then texted me like "Hey had to leave town earlier than expected wont make it but you can keep the money for all the trouble"... lol...

I completely agree with you on this one I also like to add unless it is a reputable escort here on Merb with reviews that back her up are being not a con artist and provides consistent service neither will payment be made before service is rendered.

The only time I ever ask for deposits is for outcalls, because I dont do them often, and hate paying a cab for a fake call, which happenned so often in the past.

I either ask for a PM with a merb handle that has a posting history, or a reference from a reputable lady, and if none of these two can be provided then either a deposit or just come see me... Or find someone else.

I dont see a reason a lady would require deposits from absolutely everyone, when there are many other ways to make sure the person is serious.... As I said the only reason I ask for deposits is so I don't pay a cab for nothing and it's only if there is no other option to be sure the client is serious...

I would be very very frisky to give a deposit as well. I once came close to do it because i really wanted to see the lady in question and trusted her, but its her that told me no need to since i know you. (We had met in a party and she knew my handle on merb) I was happy i didn't had to, even if in this case the lady was legit and i had nothing to fear.

I really would rather do cash in person only. In case an SP would had to cancel on me i could not see her the next day or whatever being from out of town. I wouldn't be ok with her "holding my deposit" for a futur encounter wich could happen in months...

First of all, for me, I have never paid a fee up front with an escort without the fee being face-to-face. I have paid the fee up-front with cash, after the SP walks in the room and asks for it pre-session but I am more accustomed to paying post-session. In a top hobby locality like Montreal you pay after the session. I would never pay a fee before a session in Montreal. That is not customary. If it is customary to do so (as Rolling Stone mentioned it apparently is with escorts in Germany) than I probably would do it. However, if a Montreal escort asked for a fee wired up front, red flags would pop up all over the place. One of the first escorts I ever hired was from Quebec City. I got the phone number for the agency out of the newspaper and I had no idea about reviews on MERB. I just asked if they could send over a girl. It was an exceptionally cold winter evening and the girl asked for the money up front so she could take it out to the driver before the session. She offered to leave her purse as collateral. It was an old handbag with a dildo and a pack of smokes in it. I insisted that she leave her winter coat as well. She protested in English and then made comments under her breath in French but guess what? She made it back 10 minutes later and we had our session. No one since then has asked if they could run the money out to a driver.

I am just wondering, Maria. What kind of people are doing the fake booking? Are they hobbyist wanna-be's that cannot, for some reason, pull the trigger? Could it be a guy books one girl and then a more enticing option becomes available so he books girl #2 and can't get himself to inform girl #1 that he has to cancel? (Note* Bad news rarely gets better with time - call and cancel ASAP.)

Could it be a competitor? Maybe a jealous girl that doesn't like the fact that you are doing so much better than she is? I have heard many stories of agency girls outing other agency girls because they were jealous of the other girl getting more appointments.
