Hey! Savior symptoms! :)

Anyway, the existance of sex slavery is not a high motivator for me to tip, I am much more likely to tip due to exceptional service or a particularly fantastic body. The mention of sex slavery was made to countermand the assertion that 'all these girls are making piles of money and so we shouldn't tip, ever, because then they will grow to expect it' which is just plain silly, paternalistic, and diminishes SPs to the level of Pavlovian dogs.
The fact still stand: tipping too often WILL make it become expected. Try not tipping in a bar or restaurant and check what kind of service you'll get next time... Or try not giving a toonie to the guy at the door in strip clubs, or the guy walking you to your table...

Pavlov's theory does apply to human without degrading them. If not, how can you explain getting a hard-on only by looking at a hot chick? It's not about the dog, it's about the reaction to a stimulus. An agency owner who notice his girls are getting extra money he can't control will say to himself: "Mmm... Peoples are willing to pay more... Let's raise prices!" These owners/pimps, whatever you want to call them, aren't crasy and some girls will talk so, the word will spread that customer are giving extra money. The tip should be kept only for extra special cases and, even then, I lean towards extending the appointment.

Tipping has, IMHO, ruined the hobby in the U.S., at least as far as I am concerned.

Sorry, ladies, but tipping is a bad idea. The best way to tip a lady is to repeat and/or to bring her a nice gift.

I often bring a non-monetary gift with me when I hobby. If the SP exceeds my expectations, I am happy to give it to her. If she falls short of my expectations, I just hang onto it and the next lady who sends me to the moon gets it.

Tipping Etiquette

Ok ok, I'm new to the whole thing, so I'm wondering, is there a tipping etiquette. As I understand tipping, it's at your discretion, but I'm curious about how other people go about tipping, what rules or etiquette they follow on Tipping SPs. Do you happen to also Tip the driver or the Booker?

Anyways, food for thought, the thread is open:

I think the $180-$200 per hour is more than enough which is why it's rare that I would tip an SP. The only time I would tip the SP is if I didn't like her when she arrived at my hotel and I would give her $20 and send her on her way. As far as the driver or the booker, there is no need to tip them unless they go above and beyond to ensure that you were very well taken care of. This doesn't mean that the SP simply showed up on time, this would be when you wanted an SP to wear a certain outfit and they make sure she shows up wearing it, something like that.

Personally I tip approx 15-20%, depending upon duration of the service; e.g. 20% for less than 2 hr service and 15% on 2 or over 2 hrs. It's upto the SP to split or keep the money. I also make sure to pay upfront; this helps set the tone.

Tipping upfront? Interesting...what if the service isn't up to par? Or if she becomes restrictive with services announced?
..... In my opinion, the best form of tip.. And flattery , is becoming a regular client.
I guess with agencys it must be nice getting a bonus! But with Indys , they already make more than double what an agency girl makes.
It's everyones personal choice in this matter..

This is a short answer to a complicted question. Shouldn't it be about perceived value? Some agencies have the cream of the crop in looks, but the ladies give very reserved services. The reverse can be said about others: I.E. OK looks with outstanding very open services. Sometimes there is not a correlation between price, quality and services delivered. So shouldn't tipping be about perceived value?

The tipping shouldn't be left to a common formula, but rather to your personal value system. An real life example, without mentioning names of specific SP's, would be two service providers from Eleganza offered at the same price with very similar offered services on the same weekend. Yes, this happened.

One provided the services in a spirited manner as shown on their private website. She seemed quite comfortable, cheerful and I naturally tipped her well with great appreciation for making me satisified. The other, feining personal isses, was unengaged, distant and failed to provide all of the services offered on the website. In the second SP's defense, she told me up front certain services would not be available and I chose to continue. I also chose not to tip her. Simple. So again, tipping based upon a particular formula seems to run contrary to common sense.

Have I ever tipped a agency operator, phone person or driver? Yes, all three. My proceedure is to notify that person in advance that I'm giving their tip to the SP with instructions to pass it along. I then make it a point to follow up to make sure it didn't "get lost".

I wouldn't tip as a automatic thing. In fact it should only be for exceptional service and then the 15 or 20 percent rule goes out the window. An exceptional tip for great service, but otherwise the usual donation is enough.

I like to give tips that will last a lifetime, such as plant your corn early, never eat yellow snow and always look both ways before you cross the street but if i really like them i just repeat with them:)

Ha ha ! this is a good one ! jj

I provide an extra $20 at the start of the session to pay for the driver, since I think the SP should not have to pay that fee. As for tipping, I give gifts of lingerie, and then get the bonus of enjoying the ladies in them.

As for tipping an agency owner or driver, when they come to the room and give me the best I`ve ever had, I`ll consider giving them a tip. :p

You bet the driver never hear about that $20? :D

SP working for agencies discussed how much she will get before she meet you. The driver fee is already included in what she agreed with the agency so, she is not paying for it out of her cut. You might be next door to where she was before she met you, the rate won't change and her cut won't change either. The agency might charge more if you are outside normal zones but the booker will tell you before.

If she want to make more, she can go indy. At that time, she can charge more money. Driver fee is still included and should only change if you are outside the normal zones. This is a business expense and is not part of her profits. You should also be warned about extra driver fee when you book the appointment.

Some SP take a cab, some take public transportation, some drive themselves, some use a driver. The price to the customer is the same, all-inclusive.

In my opinion, the best form of tip.. And flattery , is becoming a regular client.

Unless, of course, she really detests you. Then you're just torturing the poor thing.

Given the number of gross guys and creeps SPs must have to put up with, being good-looking, clean, and respectful would probably be tip enough for some.

The tipping shouldn't be left to a common formula, but rather to your personal value system.

I agree with this, even though I generally tip at the rate of $20 per hour. The one exception was when I tried to give a $100 tip for an hour-and-a-half session because the SP (an independent) gave me the three best BJs I've ever had. To my shock, she refused the tip and told me that she felt like paying me (flattering but weird). I need to transition to tipping based on performance, rather than trying to treat all the SPs equally - after all, they don't all treat me the same. We'll see if I can break myself of this habit next week when I head north again.

I think the $180-$200 per hour is more than enough which is why it's rare that I would tip an SP.

$180 is about the most I'd pay and still give a tip. Any more than that and forget it. I need to eat too.

All this talking about tips makes me wonder about whether the girls at the $140-150 agencies put more effort into their encounters than their colleagues at the $180-$200 agencies in order to close the pay gap with tips.

Also, I wonder whether telling a girl at the outset of the encounter that I tip for good service would have any impact on the level of service received. Does anyone do this? Does it work? I once left an additional $40 visible for the SP and ended-up getting CIMSW - a service that was not on the menu. I don't know whether this was because she saw the extra money and knew she'd be getting a tip or because she simply felt comfortable with me.

HELLLLOOOO ! Being a sex worker is not illegal in Canada. Canada Customs and Revenue Agency is not a law enforcement agency. Their only mandate is to collect taxes. They only contact law enforcement if you avoid paying taxes or commit tax fraud. Sex work is technically considered 'self-employed'. Any money that a sex worker have to spend in order to make her income can be claimed. This includes, but is not limited to: cosmetics, cosmetic surgery, clothing, condoms, implements (such as sex toys etc..), transportation i.e.: taxi or driver or mileage on her own vehicle, etc etc etc. Receipts must be kept in order to claim. When filing the declaration of revenue, it is perfectly acceptable to use a generic term like 'entertainment’ as the occupation.

For more information : www.spoc.ca

You just made my point, she'll write entertainment and not 'escort services', and she will not necessarily declare everything either depending on the benefits and tax cuts she wants, including what is necessary in order to have a good credit, there will be an optimal number to declare, she just needs to figure out what that number is and what number she wants to substract for expenses. I'm not saying she shouldn't declare, only her declaration isn't going to be forthcoming. Honestly, I don't even know how much an escort makes a year... Hmmm. But that wasn't the point of this thread anyways....

No way will I ever tip up front...again. Yes it happened in the states a few years ago. I called an SP listed in the newspaper. We agreed upon a price over the phone. She walks in and requests a tip up front explaining this is how she makes her money (no shit). Anyway, she was so hot and my little head said "tip her Hungry" so I gave her a 20$. what a bunch of shit. Never again. Tipping is for outstanding performance above and beyond the call of duty. Only a few have received tips and there are a few others which, if I saw them again would get a tip based on the permanent loving memory that they have implanted in my mind forever. One time Eleganza's Leah almost killed me trying to get the second SOG. She was ignoring calls from the agency. We didn't get the second SOG but she got a tip for going 5- 10 minutes over trying to do 2 CIM. I do bring ladies stockings and lingerie on occasion and I always order drinks or wine through room service. I let them order what they want. I once sent golf balls back to the booker but that is it (long story). I always review the good experiences. Sometimes on more than 1 board. Isn't this free advertising worth a 20-40$ tip?

Now I ask you...why should the SP get a tip? A waitress in the states is paid a wage that is below the minimum because they assume that part of her compensation package is tips. But the SP is paid a good wage and I do not believe that the Canadian Govt assumes that she will get a 20$ tip for CIMWS for example. A friend of mine raised the issue with me a few weeks ago. This is a good point. I am just passing this on as food for thought.

One more thing...A repeat client or a date that is extended an additional hour has got to be the best tip. Especially a repeat that decides to go from a 1 hour to a 2 hour date

I have been wondering about tipping ettiquite for a massage parlor. I have only had two experiences. Both times I tipped an additional $20 above the price. Second time was amazing and I feel a bit bad that I didn't have a bit more cash on hand to tip. Is $20 standard? Too low?

between you and "them"
In massage parlours they most of the time offer options.I suppose that if the option you choose is particularly well done or if the lady is exceptionnal you can tip. Some places don't talk about money, don't offer options, only work on tips, then tip has to reflect the level and quality of service you get;I always tip at the end,so i know what i got and tip accordingly.
Dissonance are you talking of "on top of options" or global tip?
