Some women are considering the 4B movement - Hopefully not in Canada or our dear companions

So you consider breaking up a marriage or a life long commitment is valid because your partner won’t vote for the same political party as you as not bullying, because I hate to break it to you but a relationship without sex in a marriage or serious relationship almost always leads to divorce and separation.
It will make a lot of SP happy and keep them working though.

I do agree that a woman who will use these kind of tactics is not someone you should entertain being with and you should run like hell as quickly as possible.
If you need to go to this level of extreme decisions, i think the marriage was lost, way before this movement even existed.
And yes if you despise your partner to stop having sex with him/her, it's a valid reason for divorce.

I wouldn't say it's bullying or threatening, considering everyone gets to choose who they accept having sex with and no one owes anyone sex.

The men who vote for trump can have sex with the women who vote for him also, it's not like 100% of women are saying they'll stop having sex
That is not the point. When you love someone you do not use these kind of threats to bend them to your will.
The Op specifically said women in relationships.
How would you feel if someone told you the only way I will love you is if you think the same as I do and vote the same as I do, because that is exactly what they are doing.
Sorry but love, marriage relationships do include sex being freely given and actually wanting it on both sides, at least the ones that last do.

Here's one thing that has been going through my mind recently. If modern feminism is so great, why has women's mental health been on constant decline since the turn of the century? Alcoholism, for instance, was virtually unheard of in women, and is now a major issue. Depression is three times more frequent in women than men. Women also increasingly don't want or are unable to have children (our most precious ressource). What the heck is going on? I think that in reality, most women, deep down inside, would prefer to stay home to raise their children, perhaps with a part-time and/or remote job.
It seems increasingly likely that the famous encouragement that "women can have it all" (career and family) is at best an illusion, and at worse a recipe for social collapse. I am convinced that if modern feminism was compatible with women's needs and desires, women on average would be happier than they are today.

You know what Julia, I changed my mind and will agree with you.
Any women that would try to threaten me with withholding sex because of how I vote politically I would want nothing to do with.

I don’t believe in threats and mind games of any kind in a loving relationship it just doesn’t work.
You do not need to be in agreement with everything in a relationship but not having sex is a game changer and a reason to have an exit plan.

In short I believe that modern feminism is responsible both for women's poor mental health and the so-called "crisis of masculinity" in the Western world. The conception of human nature that modern feminism espouses–that men and women do not fundamentally differ in their brain–is invalid, as any serious student of psychology will tell you. Any ideology that rests on a flawed conception of human nature is doomed to fail, and that is what we are observing today.

Feminism has never been about thinking we're all the same, it's that women and men should have the same RIGHTS.

In Québec, statistically proven, there are three times more men committing suicide than women, and it's a pattern that has been going on for years. If we are talking about mental health, I think men have their fair share of problems too.

From my understanding, rights were central to first and second-wave feminism (which virtually no one including me opposes today. Right to vote, to open a bank account etc.). What I am referring to as modern feminism is the third and fourth waves. The challenge of gender norms that is central to the fourth wave essentially rests upon the flase belief that men and women are the same (to simplify).

Makes sense! I'm also strongly convinced modern Feminism caused Covid, inflation and, probably, the extinction of dinosaurs.

You won't like my answer but I think that it's *in part* because of modern feminism that BOTH men and women experience such poor mental. We're lost because we've been sold a way of life that is incompatible with human nature.

With respect to suicide stats, I've had to same realization as you in the past. It's shocking to say, but part of the reason why men's suicide rate is higher than women is that because they use deadlier means when they attempt suicide. Suicide  attempts would be a better place to look but I guess those stats are inaccurate and I don't know where to look

But it is not. I see many young women especially from the US posting videos of how men are just to pay bills but want to control and dominate. They do not want to share the bills in the home yet want to control. These women should be out buying designer clothes, getting expensive make up, taking vacations, etc.. They also do not believe in helping out with the chores in the home. Is it any wonder there is a declining birthright? This is toxic feminism and many are not ready to have this conversation.

The 4B movement is not a new movement. It is encouraged by the woke far-left and they encourage misandry. It is interesting to note how hating on men is so normalized. I see a lot of man hating posts by young women and to them men are just there to give them money.

Haha...
I'm convinced it's one of the reasons why we're so unhappy. It's just we're not allowed to talk about it. It all started with the sexual revolution, which was a big mistake.

It is by fostering negative attitudes towards traditional masculinity and by de-emphasizing the importance of the role of being a mother that modern feminism exerts its most negative influence on society as a whole.

That has always been the trend. Each generation has its own values and also its own delusions. When they are in their 20s they have relatively more free time for promoting their vision of life.

as people get older, they have to deal with natural challenges of life that comes with aging such as responsibility of work and family, health issues, etc.

No time for scrolling instagram 4h/day

in few years Gen-z people reach their 30s and another generation will take over the lime light( I believe they are called generation alpha) they will have their own values, slang terms, music icons and social media platforms, etc

Then Gen-z will feel out of touch with their reality the same way millennials feel out of touch with Gen-z’s reality

there is nothing special about Gen-z , just because they had instagram since childhood it does not make them “different” from previous “young people”

These are all part of being young and each generation has done it in its own way:

Rebelling against establishment
Making few changes here and there
Solving some old problems
Creating some new problems
Accepting your limited impact on the world and moving on with your personal life and giving the stage to the next young generation

I was replying with another context in mind. I'm not one to tell people whether or not they should divorce, I thought you were talking about women who are single and decide to remain single and celibate. So we weren't having the same argument to begin with I guess!

But also, I can understand why a woman would be so turned off by her husband voting against her bodily autonomy/voting for a felon that she doesn't want to be intimate with him anymore, and in that case, why should someone stay with someone who doesn't want them? Like you said, intimacy (whatever form that may take) is a very important part of any relationship so if politics affect a couple's intimacy maybe it is time to part ways after all. I would call this a mature decision, not bullying
