I understand that some girls don't want reviews published for various reasons including privacy. At the same time, how can we know if their ads are accurate, they deliver ther promised services and are not a scam?
In a lot of cases, they ask for our references. Should we be asking for theirs, or do we need to post and request private messages. Not sure what the best answer is.

The only answer is that's just the way it is, and sometimes you just need to roll the dice on unreviewed ladies. You also have the option of only seeing well reviewed ladies. I usually went off pics and b/c, and often rolled the dice just on that if the physical profile matched what I was looking for.

You have to take chances sometimes. Worst case scenario is you are out $300

Montreal gave me such an awesome experience I totally let my guard down thinking every girl is GFE.

This SP just arrived and moved to Montreal and was advertising here and back then the blue board. She had her own website and a huge difference of her from other SPs at that time was she showed her face. I took that as well she is your usual Montreal GFE.

WRONG. After five minutes of talking to her my Spidey sense kept lighting up and I should of given her $20 and send her on her way. She was the first and only Montreal SP who asked for the envelope up front which should be a RED FLAG. During the session I was kind of "scared" of her especially during covered BJ because I was afraid she might go bat shit crazy and bite my dick off. LOL.

After my review which triggered her crazy response and then other hobbyists jumped in who met her with the same outcome and even worse where she would do a handjob only if COVERED. LOLOLOL. She then immediately declared NRP at MERB and her reviews were deleted. At the blue board those reviews STAYED and the moderators there would not delete them out of principle that constant streams of bad reviews do not constitute deletion to hide bad service/attitude.

Lesson learned. Good or bad the girl should have reviews. No review. Sit it out.

Those SPs I boycott because these are the girls that give whatever they feel like it but want the big bucks. Even some Indys discourage their clients to make explicit reviews, I avoid those also. If I pay I expect certain services. Which why I do not bother with Indys, I will always use agencies. Not only do they maintain a certain level of service, but rates are less, no references, no government IDs, no LinkedIn or deposits required.

There are providers who have no-review policies who are charging $1000. It's way more than being out $300. Depending on how strongly attracted I am to the lady, I'm willing to take the risk.

It's a tough position for the client because reviews help you understand if you're about to spend money well or set it on fire, but what can you do?

I don't mind rules on what can be said in a review (explicit or not, specifics about location, personal stuff, etc) or if they want to see it before posting, but it's difficult to trust someone if they're trying to stay completely in the shadows.

You’re free to not see girls who don’t have reviews and frankly, unless you have lots of disposable income and a risk loving personality, I’d recommend to do so.

The girls are also free to enforce a NRP, which we do because some clients give way too much detail which lead to safety issues ( or because we don’t want erotic fanfic of us on the internet forever)

I’ve also encountered clients before who prefer girls who enforce no review policies because they feel it is more discrete. If a girl has gone through the trouble of getting a website made, with professional pictures and other escorts she works with, then it’s unlikely she’s a scammer

I don't think there is a best answer as we have all our individual preferences and way to screen ladies.

I guess it is down to what the review matters to you or the content of the review.

Sometimes it's even the number of reviews that matters. So even with reviews that is not necessarily a Pass for everyone if you don't see pages of reviews.

Sometimes you want to see a checklist of acronyms mentioned. But even with them here it could be YMMV.

Sometimes I've read that people don't review because they want to "keep" the lady secret (although that one is far fetched).

Sometimes you want to read an erotic novel to be convinced before you give it a Pass.

Without reviews the only Intel or information you can get comes either from her website or social media.
From these, the best you can know is that she is a real person (her website gets updates, she has new posts and recent in her social media), how she looks like (she has pictures or video and maybe selfies that are not touched up), her personality if her posts and/or comments are frequents.

It's the same due diligence and process for the clients who loves adventures and wander around LL

There really is no best answer. At the end you are making a decision based on what your judgement needs to give a Pass.

Maybe a question or feedback that we need might be like: When did reviews mislead you and you were disappointed?

I'm not going to get into it too much, because I've already been called "crazy" and a "radfem" and "misandrist" already this week and my quota of insults has been reached lol ..

but yeah basically this is why a lot of providers don't like reviews. It's an ethical issue for may of us. For example, we know that after reviews are published, people share information about us in private messages on this forum. I know clients have told others things I privately told them about me, or repeated false rumors that somebody else spread about me. It happened to colleagues, too. Interestingly, one of those rumors is that "I discourage explicit reviews" (I've never said that to anybody who wrote a review about me, or anywhere here... most of the people who reviewed me chose to stay vague, because they, themselves don't like to write that kind of stuff)

I understand why clients don't want to see providers who are not reviewed, but to say that it's sketchy someone doesn't, from my perspective, means you're not really putting yourself in our shoes, and you don't see our side of things. Nobody really signed up for this when they joined the industry, too.

If the SP is a good/great/amazing and wants to go NRP as she sees this as sacred that is fine.

Now if the SP is bad/terrible at all or majority of the time and using NRP to hide the fact that is not okay.

I don't think it should be unavoidable but it has to do with the era that we're in..

Reviews have existed since the internet but it wasn't like that in the past according to a lot of providers and ex providers I know. Less clients used the internet and most ppl were less tech savvy even just 10 years ago. Because our advertising platforms are faulty and because social media censors us clients rely more and more on review boards.

A lot of providers I know have very few reviews or none and still get a lot of business.. it's just a different clientele. Some of them entered the industry before the pandemic and they already have a loyal client base. Others have a different branding that attracts clients immediately. But honestly they are lucky from my perspective.

Just because she has a website and professional pictures does not mean it will be good. Probably not a scammer but is the service good and is it full GFE? I like explicit reviews as it gives me an idea if she is a match for me or not.

yes, and many other businesses have it as part of their business to handle reviews too.

restaurants and yelp. doc, lawyers mechanics... good word of mouth vs bad news etc. they have their share of fake bad news too.

Having a website and showing her face doesn’t mean anything. Just means she has a website showing her face. Personally I don’t need anything explicit. A simple few sentences or max one paragraph of positive/glowing feedback is enough.

Apparently writing a SP gave DFK or CIM is top explicit for some Indys. I like to know if certain services were provided before I commit to spending my hard earned money.
