WOMEN...4/5 in round of 16....seulement GARCIA n'y est pas....je croyais en elle surtout devant ses fans....mais non....je persiste avec IGA to win...MAIS RYBAKINA est définitivement ma préférée....devra être agressive et acharnée...ce qui lui manque dans son jeu.

Coco is right of course, but tournament organizers want to cram as many paying fans in as they can, and they really do not give a shit if the player's have to sleep through the next day after media responsibilities and treatment. The goal is to maximize profits, and if that comes at costing the player's some much needed sleep, their attitude is "fuck them, that's what they are being paid for."

The double bagel very very impressive over Potapova who is ranked #21. Couldn't handle the topspin. As I have said previously players like Swiatek with the very heavy topspin are the hardest to play against. You have to be able to gauge the topspin and if you can't it's going to be unforced error after unforced error when the ball explodes off your racket. She brings back memories of Borg. A master of topsin.
Coco win also impressive over the #29 ranked player.
Those marathon matches are taxing and opposition will only get stronger. I'm still betting Zverev to get to the final.
On the women's side, I won't bet on her to win it all but my favorite is Mira Andreeva. She's uber smart and mature for her young age, expresses her thoughts really well, and is a total fangirl of Andy Murray!
Besides Mira, I agree with you @gaby , Elena Rybakina is hot, physically and tennistically!

Yet it is going to a 5th set! Rune is not Djokovic either! But Djoker advanced on a bad knee in 5 sets, Ruud rudely dispatched Fritz, and De Minaur sent Medvedev home!
I think Zverev will win the 5th set and advance. Djoker isn't going to make it, finals will be Zverev-Alcaraz.

I agree that Zverev in a 5th set is tough to beat, while Rune's stamina is questionable. And I'm listening to the Djoko post-match interview as I'm writing this. He may be injured.

He has a bad knee. He likely survived to play one more round. You are not getting a healthy Djoker any more. The aches and pains are mounting, just as they did for Nadal. It's hard to keep playing 5 set matches with a 37 year old body, and remain healthy and fresh.
