Great match & great comeback win for Jessica Pegula! After losing the first set 6-1 & being dominated by Muchova she came back to take the next two sets to win a close match!

I predict an easy win by Sabalenka on Sunday. She’s such a powerful player! Great serve, great forehand, great backhand, moves around well & is very good strategically! Beautiful Emma Navarro in my opinion was the second-best player after Sabalenka. Although i’m fairly certain she’ll lose i’ll still be pulling for Jessica on Saturday!

Happy for PEGULA....une joueuse constante et combattive.....won't b easy vs SABA......but often SABA fights herself...hope it will happen.

SABA is more solid in her head than before. She seem happier on the court, less sressed.

Last night there were moments in the match when Sabalenka had a very negative body language. I agree with Gaby that she does fight herself. If the crowd gets on Pegula's side, Sabalenka loses focus and starts making unforced errors, it can go south on her. We saw a little of that last night but not enough to lose control of the match.

Pegula, of course, is a much more seasoned opponent than is Navarro, and she has beaten Sabalenka twice. So we will see what happens.

She seems like a nice person & popular with the other players. She seems to enjoy playing tennis. Many other players look they’re just going through the motions & playing tennis as strictly a lucrative job. I admire people who actually love their job or profession.

I’ve said a few times that for a female tennis player playing against Sabalenka it must feel like they’re playing against a man. Sabby is a big, powerful woman & can be absolutely dominating when she’s at the top of her game. Can you believe that she has on average the fastest forehand at this year’s Open including the men? This is unbelievable!

Sabalenka can overpower many women, but as has already been noted, she is not a perfect player, and is prone to unforced errors and mental implosions/negativity that get the best of her sometimes. This is why she only has 2 major titles to show for her often dominating play-as shown by this:
