WOW WOW WOW...just watched the best match of the tournament and of the year....WAWRINKA won in five long and spectacular sets---8-6 the last.......in 5h08.....incredible game.....défaite crève-coeur pour TSISTSIPAS but BRAVO young kid for a fabulous game....and BIG BIG credit to STAN.....he fought with injury and surgery in 2017.....when he came back he was around 223....and now will not be far from the top 20 again....what a comeback.......on another note FEDERER will much prefer playing STAN in semi.......and be ready for a semi FEDERER---NADAL.

oh......moi je vois plutôt une finale DJOKO - NADAL, a rematch........mais moi aussi je préférerais de beaucoup une finale THIEM--NADAL.....mais j'en doute......nous serons fixé bientôt.

It seems that Rafael Nadal has been fortunate this time around. He got a pretty easy draw to begin with and now the weather has helped him out aswell. He’s only remaining obstacle in the bottom half of the draw will be Federer. Can’t really see Federer stoping Nadal in the semifinal and so for me It’s almost a forgone conclusion that he will be playing in the final .And as for whoever comes out from the top half of the draw it won’t be easy. They will have to play two matches in as many days because of the rainout and it will take its toll on them physically. Their reward will be a pretty rested Rafael Nadal waiting for them . Under those circumstances it’s hard to think he won’t be winning he’s 12th RG Championship come this Sunday .

Nadal is a great champion, no argument here. This time, however, the competition was grossly unfair to Thiem who had to play four days in a row. He was matching Nadal blow by blow for two sets, but then visibly ran out of gas.
This is not to minimize Nadal's achievements (he was not at fault in any case), but it is a real shame that it had to happen this way. I think this year Thiem had a real chance to beat him.
