I did not see many matches but Zverev was really impressive today beating Federer. Well, for the most part... If he plays at the same level, he is pretty much unbeatable.

Djokovic and Federer both lost today. Is this the generation change finally coming?

Eventually yes , but nobody would have predicted that the big three would have been so dominant at this stage of their careers . Federer is what 38? And he was 1point away from winning another major,,, if that’s not insane then I don’t know what is . The other two have been nursing injuries their hole careers and are over 30+ . So when it eventually happens I’ll always see it as Father Time overtaking them ,,,because in my mind they where always the much better players than the Next Gen will ever be .

I want to see the NG beat these living legends in a best of five , when it really matters (not these insignificant tournaments at the end of a long tennis season ) .

Because when it mattered the most they have always shown that they wanted it with their whole heart , a lot more than these kids .

He’s having a monster year . I thought it wouldn’t be sustainable , this pace I mean . That he would tire a bit from playing so many more matches than he’s opponents but he just keeps winning. So more consistent in he’s run than the rest of the NG players.
Amazing job by his coaching team . His “ therapist “ sports psychologist changed his attitude 180 . You could see his talent early on but he was so volatile and he has come a long way indeed.
Kyrgios could have learned a lot from this guy.

Technically gifted with a great tennis IQ . The more the match progresses the stronger he becomes,,, a real problem solver on the court . It’s not many times that you see a player alienate a NY crowd and then win them over , but he did it and in the process won a lot of new fans , myself included.

Looks like a GS winner and a future # 1 ,,, although I don’t think there ever was a world # 1 as tall as him . But he is a fast mover on the court despite his height .

Hiiiiii.....doen not look good for ANDREESCU and ALLIASSIME......nos 2 jeunes sensations vont de forfait en forfait.....FÉLIX forfait à PARIS et BIANCA forcé à l'abandon à SHENZEN---WTA FINAL--l'un des plus importants tournois de l'année.....blessée au genou après avoir été blessée au dos et tenue à l'écart près de 3 mois pour blessure à l'épaule....évidemment tous deux sont encore en croissance et poussent déjà la machine au max....j'espère qu'ils vont prendre le temps de bien se rétablir pour la prochaine saison MAIS l'avenir s'annonce fragile dans les 2 cas.

At least Shapovalov is still alive. Canada's men (and women too) are in a better shape than the U.S.

Yep...SHAPO is well alive...he won his first tournament 2 weeks ago in Stochholm and TODAY in Paris he won against ZVEREV in 3 sets 6-2, 5-7,6-2.....tha'ts a great win.....playing much better since in August Mikhail Youzny---former top 8-- joined him as a coach.....et je suis certain que l'arrivée de Félix l'a fouetté et incité à mieux voir à son développement....c'est bien de voir qu'il prend les bons moyens pour réussir....belle maturité.

Denis is on fire, really impressive demolishing Monfils today. Youzhny must have taught him some secret knowledge.
