Most providers tend to lean to the left and most clients to the right

the way I see it is that I don't remember ever asking my doctor, lawyer, dentist, hair stylist, accountant, cleaning lady, etc for his or her political views
so why ask a sex worker?

that said, if I found that any of the above professionals have a world view that supports extremism, hate, or violent extreme left/ right. I would think twice about seeing that professional again
Do you follow your cleaning lady's x account?

Do you have social dates with these professionals? Or pillow talks?
I am not a big fan of social dates
And I would not book someone for long hours unless I am sure we click and will have a great time together. Even in that scenario, I cannot see myself pillow talking politics when there are so many other sexier topics we can discuss

I am constantly surprised about how much people are influenced by looks and why it's always the ultimate priority. Of course there's a certain minimum individual standard, whatever that may be for whomever, but whenever anybody describes their best sessions it always has something to do with their personal connection, similarities in tastes, the ability to make each other laugh, how skilled someone was, etc etc. Nobody ever says that the session they had was the best ever because their partner was the best looking. I mean, virtually never. So why should it be a surprise to anyone here that fundamental disagreements about things that are personally important, no matter what those are, should fundamentally impact one's enjoyment with the other person ? It just seems so obvious as to hardly be worth mentioning, but amazingly enough it clearly isn't. I can never decide whether I'm just somehow the weird outlier or whether it's just that my fellow humans are incomprehensible. :)

I agree. It boggles my mind that some people say they can just fuck someone and tune the rest out completely. It seems sociopathic in a way. At that point they're just a sex doll, it's crazy.

Don't disagree with you since i'm pretty much thinking the same way, my only grain of salt is that the people contributing here are (more or less) most likely a minority of merb members which are also a portion of the clientele. I guess there's a number of people who may be only looking for looks. I mean, when you see that some guys are looking for 15 minute session, that doesn't leave a lot of time for pillow talk :)

Actually eveytime you see a new SP for the first time you are basically fucking someone you know nothing about so there goes your theory.
This is why I have been seeing mostly the same 2 ladies for many years.

I'm not sure you understood what I said (or I understand what you're saying) but what I'm saying is that specifically I want to get to know them a bit before fucking them, which is why if they have weird, unrelatable/ignorant worldviews I generally don't have a great time with them. I am weirded out by people who can completely block that part out and still have enjoyable sex with someone.

There's no question that there"s people only searching for looks. That was my point. I understand, of course, that here in Montreal there's very little to base your decision on when meeting a new provider (leaving aside the ladies from MERB who give you some idea of their personality by being present in dialogue online) but what I did say was that the quality of the session was never really dependent on looks when you hear the feedback from the members. I can't tell you how many guys I've spoken to who have taken their dream girl back to the room with them and have been utterly disappointed in the results even after seing for themselves that they didn't really click, but "oh, she was so good looking and I had to take her..." kind of thing. Literally hundreds. That's part of the reason that honest reviews are so important here. When you have no social contact beforehand you rely heavily on the impressions of others to give you an idea of the girl. If you know her outlook is one way it's foolish to think "she's so pretty, maybe she'll be different for me". She won't.

You're 100% right that the contributing guys here are a subset and probably not generally representative of the mongers in question at large though. We all need to make allowances for that too.

You can often learn a lot about a provider from her website, what she priotizes,in her description, what photos she chooses to display, what she has on her gift list etc. I recently got interested in an SP because of what she wrote here on teh board, and then her photos were amazing and I liked what she had on her website. It was a great date and I hope to see her again. I woudln't see someone I knew nothing about.

You don't know most clients except for who you talk to on this board. Most of my clients are left leaning (some of them very very much leftists) or centrist. You'd be surprised how conservative some providers are too.. I was disappointed when I talked to colleagues who I realized had pretty shocking views.

I think it's relevant if you want to build a connection and political affiliation & opinions often impact somebody's attitude.

Personally I don't ask for political opinions and sometimes personal taste as part of screening lol but my best dates have been with men I had a lot in common with. Don't get me wrong, I don't particularly enjoy talking about politics during a nice moment but it can happen. I'd rather talk about more pleasant things.

Once again what you see on Merb is only a fraction of clients, not that a lot aren't on here, but they don't post.

I'm not going to start talking about the COVID 19 vaccine lol but I've met some anti vaxxers who were against all vaccines. Just wanted to clarify that.

What do you mean by "disconnected from reality"? I'm glad everyone here assumed you meant "Trump supporter" but after a lot of discussions I've seen here, I'm not so sure of that.
I left it intentionally vague to avoid a convoluted political conversation. But it seems like it happened anyway lol

But yes, I did mean MAGA, conspiracy theories, anti vax, etc. Unfortunately.

I think it's usually better to separate personal accounts from professional ones on social media but not all people do that.

I have both but am still often sharing my real opinions on my business social media. We've all heard the saying "voting with your money", I think it's actually a good thing when a business (not limited to me as an escort) shares their views as it allows like-minded people to find and support those businesses.

A somewhat funny, somewhat related example since Trump has been mentioned a few times : a few months ago I found a company that sells sustainable self care and cleaning products. I came for the sustainability and stayed because of the owner being so vocal about her values, the way she conducts the business and treats employees, etc and one of the ways this manifested was the fact I got to use use a "fucktrump" discount code on my first order lol. A big portion of their customer base is American (it's a Canadian company) and that hasn't been affected at all by the existence of this code - since they found their audience by being openly and unapologetically themselves. They didn't lose American customers, they gained more Canadian ones; and everyome got a discount : win win.

I guess what I mean to say is politics aren't always incompatible with business. It probably depends on how you want to conduct business, who you're trying to attract, who your customer base already is, what field you're in etc

I sometimes download images from provider ads/websites/socials in order to zoom them in at +400% so I can determine whether they have bush or not.
Is that a shadow or the edge of some neatly trimmed pubes? Is that panty fabric just darker up the front or does it hide a landing strip?
