Lol, I'm very recently fascinated for the era when the Expos existed.

Let me set the stage:

1. a "canadian" team but assembled of mostly American Athletes (like the Bluejays are (but less so because of Latino direct players in MLB).
2. the Visiting team also of American origin

3. the after hours scene back the day for Montreal. You have young athletes, late nights, some money, away from home... no cell phones, no social media, no cameras.

Did any of you guys have the pleasure to see expos ball players at strip clubs or partake in the p4p scene back int he golden days?

Present day, I've been told a few years ago from a Toronto provider how a Chicago team when up in Toronto for a series, called up a load of girls from a agency and had a orgy.

I saw several visiting players at various stripclubs during the late 90's/early 2000's. My favorite stripper at Wanda's had a regular who played for one of the american teams. He'd visit her at the club every time his team came to town and offer tickets to the games, which she'd refuse since she hated baseball. He'd reply to her: "I don't blame you. Baseball IS boring to watch."

Barry Bonds used to be a regular at Wanda's earlier on and even married one of the strippers from that club.

I have friends who regularly saw Expos players at Chez Paree, among them Tim Raines.

Back in the late 80's/early 90's, my favorite restaurant in Montreal was the Bar B Barn. I loved that place!!! I was listening to the radio one time while i was in town and one of the guys on the show told a story about former Expos catcher John Bateman and mentioned that he was a regular there (at the Bar B Barn) and he'd regularly show up after games. That was in the late 60's/early 70's.

The Bar B Barn is still open today (on Guy street, near Ste Catherine) but it's not like it used to be. I haven't been back in years. Back in the day when it was popular, you'd always have lineups of people waiting outside to get in. The ribs they made back then were probably the best ribs i've ever had in my entire lifetime!

I believe that Ellis Valentine (among others) enjoyed a good time in his heyday. I also knew a masseuse who said that she had a couple of the lesser-known and younger habs as clients, not to mention a very well known boxer from a famous "Fighting" family. She had some interesting stories about the fighter.

HAAHAH! TIM RAINES.... mister expo.... luv this shiet! 2017 Hall of famer. Ah, Barry Bonds, used to be from the Pirates or so? So he'd trek from Pittsburgh to Montreal even if the Pirates aren't having a series with the Expos? Very interesting. If so, I'm not surprised about him.

"She was working as a make-up girl in Ogilvy's and stripping downtown at Chez Paree when Barry Bonds met her and quickly made her his wife in 1988."

I was way too young back then to be aware of that, but I wouldn't be surprised if many Expos were regulars in clubs in the early to mid 80s, those were the glory days of cocaine and baseball players (see the Pittsburgh Drug Trials and also the 1986 Mets). And Valentine and Raines were known for substance abuse... which eventually led them in very different directions.

I've heard interesting stories from sex workers in regards to former & current habs players. Can't blame most of the guys. Young, single and with a lot of money to spend in North America's sex mecca. But they should realize that sex workers are people and people tend to talk and they also love to brag about their more famous 'clients'. ;)

Back in the early 2000's, there was a story going around about a gorgeous blond sp from one of the more well-known agencies at the time. She was dating a hockey player, a habs player if i remember correctly. Well, things got somewhat chaotic between them when some of her clients turned out to be fellow players and they recognized one another right away. An sp who knew the whole story was supposed to give me all the details during our first meeting/encounter but alas we never ended up meeting.
