Did you know that you can not exchange your US spare change at banks here in Montreal? I had accumulated 100$ worth of nickles, dimes and quarters, so i rolled them up and brought them to the bank and they refused to accept it, could not even deposit the amount into my US account here, strange i think, money is money, paper or coins. I guess its harder to get rid of coins and if maybe you are thinking that its rolled and it could possibly be Canadian coins in there, i cracked open a random roll to show the lady it was US funds. Is there a place i can go to exchange these coins, besides across the border, which i could if i have to, heading to lacolle this weekend, so i could dip across but what a hassle these days.

My local bank in the US has a machine that allows you to convert US coins to cash, and I do so whenever I accumulate roughly $30 in coins. I had assumed all banks offer this service for their customers. But, I wouldn't expect any bank to allow cashing of foreign currency coins.

$1.32 today. Been looking into hotels and they have been raising their prices to adjust for this.
Current predictions are that the rate will be close to 1:1 by the end of the year.
If this happens and the rates the SPs charge doesn't sink with it, business from US customers will drop as we will all stay home and try to make do with what we have.
Reminds me that I need to call my local provider and make sure I give her some business.
