Yes, and the Sugar System is a big draw.
For the ones who do participate in sex work, they like a system where it is seems very safe and tgey watch all those videos on the Seeking site that imply tgat sex might not even be part of the deal.
One of the reasons that Montreal is better than most other places is it’s strong agency system. The youngest ladies like not having to do many administrative tasks.
The U.S, system of law enforcement going after everything but independents who screen and have their own website, and a few small, boutique agencies, has simply created a situation where there are very few of the youngest ladies advertising as escorts. They often don’t have the confidence or resources to navigate the independent escorting system. A few do, and they want to charge the rates to justify it.
Now that is okay, of course. Women mature much faster than men at everything but sex. But the fact that women come into their sexual prime long after that youngest age is a good reason to be happy with the relatively older ones as a John. That may change in terms of women now that we are perhaps slowly leaving the media age where every fucking coming of age movie shows the debutante as having a bunch of suitors, and her first sexual experience with the one she chooses being her greatest moment of life. But time will tell.
That having been said, I do think that even considering OF, MP, and the Sugar System, that the overall percentage of women in the 18-22 year old range who do penis in vagina sex work has declined over the last few decades. People used to be on their own at 18. Moved out of the house into a shitty apartment or dorm room, often in a different city than their hometown. Shitty first car, if a car at all. Very little financial support.
Now the world has changed. Partially due to marketing, and partially due to inflation, and partially due to working women of the last few decades being susceptible to that marketing.
First and foremost, a much larger percentage of young women now live at home. That makes escorting a Herculean task even if she wants to. The rent inflation is an enormous barrier.
And second, the financial support that young people in their late teens and 20s continue to receive from their parents is stunning. The young lady on her own at 18 who needed to support herself is now more of a rarity. Hell, I remember seeing a fun 18-19 year old in Montreal long ago who roller bladed to the session (it was summer). She talked about how much fun it had been to start college the year before, and the excitement of moving away from home.
Not as many of those chicks exist today. Her much younger sister, well hell that was so long ago, it might be her daughter, just doesn’t have the same life experience. While she might live at home, she has a big screen TV in her room, and quite possibly the best car in her family. Today‘s teen had a mom who had fewer kids than ever before because she was working. When she got home and the family watched TV, what did they see. A fucking Lifetime Channel movie about Child Abduction, even though that is less likely to happen now than in the 1960s and 1970s. And guess what else? A Michelin tire commercial with a baby sitting on a tire that said Buy Our Most Expensive Tire, because “so much is riding on your tires.” Motherfuckers. What percentage of terrible automobile accidents are lessened through an extra millimeter of tread? .0000000000000001 percent of them? But because both parents work and felt guilty about it and had enough money, that shit worked. And it continues today. One of the safety organizations just created a big stir on Twitter by suggesting that parents consider buying their teens a much larger car, possibly even an SUV, because larger vehicles are safest, and teens are the least experienced drivers. Sane people went nuts, but the tweet wasn’t deleted. SUVs are safer for the driver of that vehicle, but are far more deadly to the driver and passengers in the other car that it hits due to the bumper differential. And SUVs are statistically far more likely to kill pedestrians and cyclists that they hit. But of course if both parents work and have the money, buy your precious teen an expensive SUV so they will be a little bit safer themselves; don’t worry about the body count of others.
Montreal and Quebec are poorer than the U.S., and the people are a bit smarter than Americans, so they aren’t quite as influenced by this stuff. So there are still a few more youngsters who sell tail in Montreal than in the U.S. But the numbers have declined everywhere except South America and Asia. Barcelona had a lot of luck for a while when three groups had incall that specialized in 18-22 year olds. But those places have deteriorated, and the potential new law, if it passes, puts the places at greater risk than agencies. A person needs friends much more at that age, so it is heartwarming that becoming friends with co-workers their own age was part of the deal.
Not sure if a significant the current population of 18-22 year old ladies who aren’t full-service sex workers (or if they are, it is through the Sugar system) will become escorts later? I actually doubt it. There are enough of them still to provide plenty of enjoyment, so it isn’t a huge supply chain issue. And as I said, many of the current ladies who are older than that provide better services than the youngest ladies anyway, at least in my opinion.
But I am not sure the landscape looks promising when you roll the clock forward 10-15 years. So enjoy today and what is currently out there, even if it is different (and more expensive) today than a decade or two ago. And don’t discourage the youngest male Johns from participating. Because it will likely get worse in the future, and nay never get better after that.
