More on Eichel

A reporter at the practice reported that a loud scream came from Jack Eichel as he crumpled to the ice & had supposedly suffered what appeared to be a left leg injury. He was unable to put any weight on it and was helped off the ice.

I would bet you but have a sour taste betting with others on here unless i know them extrememly well. A non guy i know and a habs fan go crying when they lost or tried to implement their own rules after the fact and it makes one not want to bet anymore with strangers on a internet board as they do not know betting etiquette. You however STN I have met a few times but really, it is not a bet i would take at this moment. I think the Leafs will definately be better than last year but with so many rookies there could be several losing streaks in between some winning streaks while the kids mature. I am still not sure the "Oil" are a playoff team just yet but they have to get better, don't they?

What Is The Top NHL Story Line?

Which of these do you think will be the biggest NHL storyline this year:

(1) Will Conor McDavid Handle The Captaincy Of The Oilers At 19?
(2) Will The NHL Double Down On Discipline?
(3) Are The Islanders Staying In Brooklyn?
(4) The Jets Knew He Was Trouba When He Walked In, But Is He Walking Out?
(5) Will Boudreau Turn The Wild Into Winners And Unleash the Wild Side?
(6) Will Kane Fit In Buffalo And Sharpen Sabres?
(7) How Will Jimmy Vesey Drama Play Out in New York?
(8) Will Olympic Gamesmanship End?

Me thinks this kid Auston Matthews is gonna be a keeper, first NHL game, 19 years old, 2 goals in the first period already.

(told you 2 years ago he was gonna be a good one MISTER Holliday)

#9 Will Auston Matthews score 1, 2, 3 or more goals in his debut?

I would be happy with 3..........guess what? Midway through the 2nd period, I AM HAPPY! Natural hat Trick already!

haaaaaaaaaa fucking great what we are seing tonight. Of course being born in Montreal I am a Canadian fan, but Toronto is one of the best city in the world and deserve to have a great hockey team. Not the shit we have seen for the last 10 year. Since I bought a maple leaf hat to my oldest son he is a toronto fan! Guess what he will proudly wear for school tomorrow :)

Freddie Andersen and Toronto's defense are going to have to do better than 5 goals allowed on 30 shots. A .8333 save % does not cut it in the NHL.

Here is video of all 4 Mathews' goals. The first and last goals both came off nifty passes by Nylander, the last on 2 on 1 break. It's the second goal that is the most impressive, he skates through a bunch of guys like Bobby Orr used to do. The third goal was a one timer, looked like very poor D on that sequence by Ottawa. This game was apparently not a defensive showcase.

Anderssen let in many soft goals tonight. The Leafs gave him a five year contract. He better get better or else Jonas Enroth will soon take over as the team's top goalie. But let's be fair and give Anderssen a break: he missed a good part of training camp due to an injury he suffered in August.

I'm giving the defencemen a pass since they didn't play this badly and they had to play a defenceman short for most of the game due to an earlier head injury to one of their defencemen.
