Parting shots at Jeff Fisher and support to bring in Jimmy Harbaugh:

http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...tend-los-angeles-rams-games-jeff-fisher-fired

Harbaugh does belong coaching in the NFL in my opinion, college football is beneath him. His team should have beaten OSU and been in the college football playoffs but got homered at OSU

Why coach in the Pros when you can have a dynasty in college? In the Pros you have to draft and compensate players and deal with a salary gap. I really think that some of the college guys have it much better in many ways.

NFL Rules Violations: How to Assess punishment.

Deflategate 2 - Giants catch theSteelers with deflated balls.

Giants get caught using walkie talkies on the field.

Are these cases of cheating? Goodell had one question to ask. Were the Patriots involved in any way? NO! Goodell - there's no case then. :pound:

It seems like the Giants will be fined but will not forfeit a draft pick for the illegal use of walkie talkie on sideline:

http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/18301290/new-york-giants-fined-walkie-talkie-use-sources-say

It should be noted the Giants had the proper equipment malfunction on them, they did not use the walkie talkie within the final 15 seconds prior to plays, and Eli Manning had an absolutely horrible game even though the Giants won the game. So no competitive advantage was gained. The Cowboys deserved to lose the game as they were eaten up the Giants defense.

Patriots 16 Broncos 3

Surprisingly it was the defense of the Patriots that proved to be the rock on which they won. It was also the steady and solid running of LeGarette Blount who propelled the offense rather than Brady. 12-2 folks. Stuff it Goodell.

The New York Giants and head coach Ben McAdoo were fined by the league for illegally using walkie-talkies during their win over the Dallas Cowboys, the league announced Tuesday.

The team was fined $150,000 while McAdoo was docked $50,000. The league also moved the Giants’ fourth-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft to the end of that round following any compensatory picks.

I didn't think Roger had it in him. Maybe he was feeling guilty. LOL Unless the Giants have some other team's earlier pick in the 4th round moving that pick to last will probably not be a big change considering their likely finishing rank, in the mid to maybe slightly later 20s. That means picking probably somewhere from 8 to 5 places later...a small sting.

It was something more than a slap on the wrist considering the levity of the offense. In case nobody saw it Eli was a horror show that entire game and the only reason the Giants won is Dallas was horrible and Odell Beckham turned a routine slant pass into a 61 yard TD which he does regularly. Any other NFL WR is tackled for a 12 yard gain on that play but Beckham just exploded away from the Cowboys secondary.

2 NFL QBs have legs broken

2 NFL QBs had their legs broken on sacks today- Derek Carr of the Raiders and Marcus Mariota of the Titans. Both appear to be done for this season. I wish a speedy recovery to both of these good young QBs.

The great reluctance of NFL teams to pick up Michael Floyd could be a boon to the Patriots if the idiot can stay off the bottle long enough. He just stuck his shoes very deeply into "shit luck" and he probably has enough brains to know this may be 1. a miraculous chance to go from dumpster to Super Bowl champ. 2. show he's not the tragedy in waiting so many think he is at the moment. #S-A-L-V-A-T-I-O-N And GODDAMN did he put a monster crushing hit on a defender who seemed like he was about to catch Edleman thus releasing him for a 77 yard TD. BOOM!!!!!!!!!!

Meanwhile the Patriots clobbered the Dolphins in Miami. Brady finishes the regular season in which he was cheated out of 4 games with a 110.7 RAT, and throwing only 2 INTS, that's 1 INT in every 199.5 attempts.

No tears for Rex Ryan or that carrying bag brother. Rexy has great NFL skills but he keeps forgetting to leave the mouth runneth over thing at home.

Cheers

MVP of the NFL appears to be a close race between Tom Brady and Matt Ryan. Ryan passed for almost 5,000 yards and his QB rating of 117 was the only one higher than Brady's. Although the Brady 28 to 2 is hard to ignore, it looks like Ryan will edge him out for the MVP based on passer rating, total passing yards and TDs.

Police arrest man for pulling fire alarm at Pittsburgh Steelers' hotel

Massachusetts State Police have apprehended and charged the man who pulled a fire alarm in the Pittsburgh Steelers' hotel early Sunday morning.

The Steelers will play the New England Patriots on Sunday night (6:40 ET) in the AFC Championship Game at Gillette Stadium.

Dennis Harrison, 25, of East Boston, has been charged with disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and pulling a false fire alarm at the Steelers' airport hotel in Boston, according to a statement from state police.

Police said Harrison pulled an alarm at the hotel and fled the scene, but he was found by the state police walking on hotel property. Police said Harrison was not a guest at the hotel, nor did he have a legitimate reason to be at the hotel.

Harrison was being held, pending bail.

On Sunday morning, fire alarms also went off at Gillette Stadium. The Foxboro fire department arrived, and a short time later people in the stadium, mostly media and stadium workers, were allowed to return.

The hotel was also evacuated while firefighters checked the building. While many members of the Steelers were awakened by the alarm, the team was not evacuated.

NFL security officials were staying at the same hotel and were on the scene during the incident.

Look behind you.
Lady Gaga at half time, who the hell picks these acts.
How many Lady Gaga fan watch NFL football? How many NFL fans want to see Lady Gaga? Five finger death punch, Kid Rock, Springsteen.... along those lines.
As always, just my opinion.
Edit: Ya think Billy Bob after being at a tailgate party since 11am and had been drinking heavily till half time wants to see Lady Gaga?

Unfortunately the biggest real show happens IF the Patriots win, though the Patriots have already beaten Goodell and the haters by getting to the playoffs and being in the Super Bowl after the NFL tried to rob the Patriots of 4 wins. IF the Patriots win greasy Goodell has to hand over the trophy the team he tried to rob with extreme prejudice. IF Brady wins the MVP it gets even better. Tell me everyone won't be watching to see that show and how spineless rat with no scruples Goodell handles the moment. And what will Kraft say to his old "good friend" ;). Kraft has already hinted there will be something from him, but...unfortunately Brady and Belichick would be unfailingly gracious. Too bad. Goodell proved what a ball-licking toady he is to the other owners and teams by failing to go after the Giants for the same exact offense...never mind the attempted cover up of a wife beating by a Giants player, which the NFL also did little about. “I viewed myself as God basically and she was my slave” - NY Giants Josh Brown. Roger deserves to be told what he is. A scheming A-moral shit...already beaten by the Patriots by playing at all. :)

As for Atlanta, New England fans have nothing against them except the obvious. The key offensive lineman for them Alex Mack is said to be hobbled but will play. How long he lasts could determine how good the Falcons' chances are to compete.

GO PATRIOTS!
