Exactly... man it must burn habs fans having more russians on a consistent basis than having french canadian players. They should rename the team the Montreal Russians! haha

The NHL is now really the WHL - it's more the WORLD Hockey League than the NATIONAL Hockey League...and a huge number of the best players are non-Canadian and non-American. Just look at some of these names (and I'm not even including goalies): Datsyuk, Malkin, Ovechkin, Kovalchuk, Lidstrom, Zetterberg, Franzen,Filppula, Holmstrom, Hudler, Kronwall, Alfredsson, Chara, Karlsson, Jagr, Backstrom, Gonchar, etc., etc. - Hell, all the way down to Grabovski!
Yep ! only 2 'real experts' can just wake up and find out about it in 2012 !
Some even need more neuroleptics just to keep up with this year's hockey ! :lol:
How about their american players.
Eric Cole and Max Pacioretty are Montreals best goal scorers
Brian Gionta is their captain and Scott Gomez their highest paid player.

This season did not get the Leafs into the playoffs, but seeing the habs DEAD LAST in the east and us getting a pick no worse than 6th was actually a case of finding the good in the bad, and we will take it. Go Leafs Go! and as always, yes folks, the habs really do SUCK!

Actually, it seems that the Leafs have "let" a LOT of teams win...for the past 45 freakin' years!
But of course they have never really "let" anybody win - it just happens because the Leafs have sucked big time for 45 years...but ESPECIALLY for the past four, under the "direction" (ha ha!) of the totally clueless and totally incompetent Brian Burke.
As for draft picks, you could give Burkie the top 5 and still find a way to screw it up and lose them or waste them. Face it: the rotting corpse of the Leafs will only continue to decay further and smell worse with each year that BB is at the helm.
No wonder you're so thrilled: the Leafs finishing ahead of anyone is a magnificent achievement for such a piss-poor bunch of failures. And the fact that Toronto finished a whopping TWO WHOLE POINTS ahead of the team that came "DEAD LAST in the east" must understandably fill your heart with pride.
Hey, when you're used to being in the BASEMENT of a 30 story building it must feel good to climb all the way up to the first floor. The only thing I can't understand is why it's the Toronto FANS who hide under bags - it should be the hopeless Toronto PLAYERS and MANAGEMENT doing the hiding.
