They have to crusade against something, having failed at Gun control, War on Drugs, Corruption, Controlling National / Provincial / City Debt. Infrastructure, Medical Care, Poverty, Unemployment (not Newsworthy enough) So the Sex workers are now the Targets ( Until the Press can think of something more Newsworthy) Work is Work sometimes you can find pleasure in your Work but not all of the time. Sex workers are more honest about their work than the so called "Investigative Journalist." who play on the plight of others less fortunate than themselves. We should organise a boycott of all News papers put them on the streets out of business.

The thing is conservatism and religion has dominated for hundreds of years if not thousands. It will take a long time till people move away from conservative and religious thoughts. I heard there was a judgment done by the supreme court who decided prostiution is not a crime, and the government has 1 year to adapt to this law, so incall should become totally legal in the year to come. I may be mistaken tough, i read that on TVA website, so not a stupid source or whatever.

Is anyone surprised if 99% of the people here (paying sex clients) think that acceptance of sex work is only a matter of Conservative and religious thoughts, basically outdated moral scruples? This is a mistaken notion. Eliminate Conservative ideals and religious morals and I'm certain many people in the general populace will still feel very uncomfortable about paying another person and using them solely for their own personal sexual satisfaction. Of course on a sex board the view of Cloud 500 is preaching to the choir that has decided sex for money is just great and have long practiced that view. If 2% of members disagree with him I'd be shocked. But "we" are obviously predisposed to agree...uh...because we have been paying for sex.

Personally I have accepted what I do as a necessity with the qualifier that the escort has made a free-will choice (hopefully) to serve the need I am paying for, thus I am not exploiting her as a person because of that free will...at least in rationalized theory that allows me to excuse possible discomfort. However, is this just a convenient rationalization to make myself feel better, make excuses to get what I want?

I suppose it's the same in any other business. People have jobs they may or may not like and we go through them to get what we want. But is exchanging business with an employee the same thing as employing a human as a sex product/commodity itself regardless of who they are inside, the ambivalent or desperate reasons they may have for being sex workers? Is it really treating an escort like a real person just to have a chat, bang her, then hand over some money and walk away like you just borrowed an object and returned it for someone else to use next? I don't need Conservatism or religion or Feminists to make me think about if that is really okay? I think the human respect question goes on whether anyone else tells us what is right or wrong...whether there's a thing called morality or not because we are dealing with people, NOT commodities.

Personally i share partly your point, i would say i think the same for the first part, on the othe hand i don't agree with the second part afte the (...) Take drugs(marijuana, not talking about heroine here) for exemple, its still illegal, yet lots and lots of people take it, even some cops, politician and so on. The fact its still illegal is to save the face versus a part of the population, mostly older people, who still think its a bad thing. And all of those people see marijuana as a bad thing, you should not do it, and blablabla. I am not a real smoker myself, hardly smoke weed 2-3 times a YEAR, but still i think weed should be totally legal, there is just no reason at all why its not, exept the fact that SOME PEOPLE do think its bad.

I think the same applies to prostitution, exept at a highter level, but the truth is that NO i don't see whats wrong with it, as long as what you mentioned in your post is respected. The SP has to do that by total free will, be confortable with it, and wanting it. Sure it include human intmacy, but then again a girl that goes out and sleep with 3 different guys a week is usually seen by society as a slut... and is not seen much better than a prostitute. But why? If she want to enjoy sex, with different partners, its her body, her free will. But even in soon to be 2014, people/society still see the normality being that a man and a woman need to be in couple, only sleeping with each other... "Echangisme" is still considered taboo, so anything other than a normal couple.

So thats why i think everything is "in the eye of the beholder" , and personal opinions are just.... personal opinions, thats it.
