Donald Trump's legal team was in court this week, trying to get the civil lawsuits against the former President for allegedly inciting the Capitol Riot dismissed. Needless to say, it did not go well for them. After they tried to claim that Trump encouraged his supporters to be peaceful, the judge not only told them to "stick to the facts," but also pointed out that Trump was dead silent for at least two hours as his supporters rampaged in the Capitol.

The lawyers are only parroting their client.

A new poll has found that a plurality of American voters, 41%, want to see Donald Trump referred for criminal prosecution for his role in the January 6th Capitol Riot.
A similar number, 39%, do not wish to see him referred, while 20% somehow don't have an opinion one way or the other.
Democrats in Congress need to be aware of these numbers, but so does the US Department of Justice that appears to be dragging its feet on the whole issue.

In 2020, he held many rallies where people didn't care for masks or social distancing. Herman Cain caught coronavirus and later died from an Oklahoma rally where Trump and his supporters acted as if a contagious virus wasn't going around. Contact tracing from 2020 also showed that Herman Cain wasn't only one that died from coronavirus picked up from a Trump rally.

Around July 2021, Trump released a statement saying people didn't trust the vaccines or Biden. So Trump advocating for the vaccine now isn't borne out of goodwill or science knowledge. After all, he's still holding maskless rallies at a time when cases are high. Trump could have required masks for attendance. Trump embracing the vaccine is strictly tied to his narcissism to get credit for developing the vaccine. Yet somehow on this vaccine issue, compared to people like Ron Desantis and Rand Paul and Ron Johnson, Trump is the sane one!
