I believe everyone is entitled to their opinions but it’s just crazy how, in the end, the divide has been created for this exact purpose and it goes wayyyy back. Reason being why I don’t chose sides.
It really shouldn’t be us vs. us. It should be us vs. “them” and when I say them I mean the ones in control hahaha. Because they indeed play two sides.
I was the first to say the exageration on Trump (aka Trump Derengement Syndrom) was overblown based on his first mandate. But its only been a few weeks now and the guy is litterally a mad dog who jump at everything without any rhyme or reasons. Obviously as a Canadian the whole 25% border thing is the thing that is going too far. I don't understand his reasons to anger Canada, Mexico and pretty much everyone especially natural allies (since so long). We all know this fentanyle thing is a BS reason without any ground.
Some peoples says he is serious in wanting to annex Canada and that this is all just for that, so when our economy is too destroyed, we will accept this. I don't know about you but i don't see this happening. Majority of Canadians would be against it, not to mention francos like myself we been hoping for an Independant Quebec for so long. In this specific case i would put my independantist uniform aside and support Canada of course. I like being able to walk in the streets without fear of getting shot or my nephews/nieces going to school without that fear either.
Now i must admit i am not against everything Trump has done tough. I will admit i support fully to deport any person with a Visa (so that is ultimately a guess in one's country) if they support terrorists (Hamas) and the likes. Im part of the side that has enough of seeing this in Canada as well. I also am not against his crackdown on ILLEGAL immigrants. I don't understand why both US and Canada are so lenient on peoples who come here illegally.
And finally well... i may not be the wokest person in the world, and i do think Canada has gone overboard in the ridiculous things, but i think Trump is going too far on the other side as well. I believe there is a middle ground that should be achieve. I been saying this for long tough... The woke agenda has been pushed so far down our throats by the medias and entertainement industry that it litterally turned away peoples that were never against it in the first place.
Im gonna use an easy exemple. I watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer as a teenager. There was a lesbian character in it. I never felt it was "woke" or shoved into my face. It was very natural. But now movies and shows put so much emphasis on everything woke, including sometimes litterally having unatural lines to correct other characters, or sometimes even worst, games like Dragon Age The Veilguard wich is a woke wet dream but completely alienated the rest. When im playing a video game i really don't want to be lectured on "pronouns" and modern day nonsense, especially in a fantasy world that is close to medieval style.
I always said it, i don't care who someone has sex with as long as its consensual adults. I am all for marrying who you want. I would never discriminate because of someone sexuality (job, friendship or whatever). And i really don't care if you want to do surgeries to change your body, that is YOUR body. But don't start lecturing me on what i can and can't do. Don't have teachers trying to "brainswash" kids on how to behave according to their extremely woke ideologies. Don't have biological men compete in women sports and raffle medals they should never be allow to compete for. Things like that.
So therefore i think sadly Trump's response to this is simply the reflection of his electoral base that just had enough. Im not denying there was always extreme conservatives who would always be extremely closed minded and hateful, of course they exist, but i think a vast majority are just regular folks who got pissed off at whats been fed them. What was the line in The Dark Knight again?

Actually it is more the state vs the individual. Remember the government is not your friend, they are against us.
