CNN never should have aired what amounted to a trump rally. Their selection of the 'town hall' audience was pathetic. It should have consisted largely of independent voters not trump supporters. Kaitlin Collins was out numbered and out gunned. She tried repeatedly to fact check and push back on his fire hose of lies, but she was talked over and insulted by trump. Early on CNN should have gone into a commercial break and warned trump they will end the town hall immediately if he doesn't let Kaitlin question his answers and treat her in a civil manner.
So hard to believe that 74 million american believe this stuff even if convicted!
So he was right by saying 'I can go down 5th ave in NY and shoot someone and everyone will still vote for me! His survey figures will sky rocket. and they did !
And there is no feed back from the Dems! They should fight fire with fire by lieing as hell ,exagerate like hell and accuse GOP of being dictators that they are !

CNN is catching a rash of shit, and rightfully so, for airing that disgraceful display last night. They should have known better or cared more about the shitshow they broadcast. Are they that naive? Or are they that desparate for ratings? If they do it again they may be liable for damages to the people trump defames.

Age groups less than 50 are far less likely to sign up for cable - personally I haven't sat down and watched TV for the last 10 years. So if CNN wants to grab market share, it has to take them from the network with the largest viewership: FOX. So that's why they're trying to ape FOX.

If there is one positive thing that could come of that shit show, it's that watchers have seen how crazy and dangerous Trump is.
Initially I had the same reaction. He is even more unhinged than ever and becoming more so as time goes by. Nevertheless, if he becomes the republican nominee, he can still secure 45% to 46% of the popular vote regardless of how unmoored he is. A third of the electorate are all in and will follow him to the gates of hell and back. Other republicans will vote for him just because he represents their political party as they will never not vote republican. And, because of how the arcane, archaic, and racist electoral college system works ( it was designed as a concession to Southern slave states), a republican candidate can win the presidency with a minority of the vote as he did in 2016. This man, and the entire MAGA cult movement, is a clear and present danger to our democracy and to world stability.
