Unfortunately CNN got acquired by a conservative billionaire last year, so don't expect too much from them in 2024:
CNN is now owned by Warner Brothers Discovery, which wants it to change. So does board member and cable TV giant John Malone.

And really, the networks are all fighting for a shrinking pie - cable news is slowly dying and so are their viewers. Age groups less than 50 are far less likely to sign up for cable - personally I haven't sat down and watched TV for the last 10 years. So if CNN wants to grab market share, it has to take them from the network with the largest viewership: FOX. So that's why they're trying to ape FOX.
