Celine Dion Not Happy With Trump's Use of Song
Although I understand copyright laws, and that the artist holds the rights, I find a certaim hypocrisy here. All of these artists profit from Trump using their songs. I also find that it is a fair use of the song falling under the Fair Use Doctrine:
These controversies started with Bill Clinton's rabid use of Fleetwood Mac's "Don't Stop" during his first campaign for President, which I believe the band approved. They recognized how they would profit from it and they did.
So I say to Celine Dion, "really? Shut the fuck up and check your bank account balance and recognize it will be taxed more heavily under Harris than Trump because your ass is rich."

Maybe she doesn't care about the revenue or the tax implications. Maybe she cares more about her art being associated with a convicted felon and business fraudster.

In Wikipedia, Trump announced on may 8th 2018 that USA stopped his participation in inspection of IRAN nuclear program.

I don't care either way. I'm Canadian. Just calling it like I see it. 90% of the media is against this guy because of his personality, which I agree sucks. But, his 4 years were much better than Biden's, can't argue that. He's an alpha and that's what the US needs right now. Respect and fear. Unfortunately, that's what you need when you're dealing with Putin, Xi, and many terrorist organizations running ramped around the world right now. US isn't respected and that's why it's a free for all.
Now all of a sudden the media is behind a candidate that wasn't even in their sights a month ago. She wouldn't have had a chance in hell if there was a primary, just like 2020. Nobody wanted her. Now she's the savior.

I just heard John Bolton talk about Trump relation with Putin and Trump is mocking you with the fear that Putin had of Trump.
It's probably if not certainly the case with North Korea and China leaders !

I wouldn't believe anything the media says at this point. They all have an agenda, it's quite obvious. You turn on CNN they bash Trump and glorify Kamala, FOX bashes Kamala and glorifies Trump. It's become so predictable. It's turned into comedy.

Do you think it's the the media that put words in John Bolton mouth ?
In case you don't know, Bolton served as national security adviser to Trump in 2018-2019.
He is a long time Republican that worked for Ronald Reagan and George H. W. Bush.

I disagree. I think CNN has many republican guests who either defend or bash trump based on their agenda, their personal experiences with him, or their opinion of what he, and the MAGA movement, mean to America.

There are real republicans that consider Trump and his followers as RINO and fight for the return of the Republican party they knew before Trump.

Correct the real RINOs are trump and the MAGA republicans. Unfortunately republicans, because of their lust for power and money, allowed trump and MAGA to infest the former Republican party starting in 2015. Now the infestation involves the lion's share of the party. If after trump is defeated again and normality does not return, principled republicans must form a new party and let MAGA be the separate white nationalist movement that it is.

I agree that there is an extremist element in the Republican Party that has enslaved the rest of the party, but I don't think Trump is entirely to blame for that. It's partly coincidental with his Presidency. There are 8 or 9 extremists, of which Matt Goetz is a card carrying member, that managed to bring down the former Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy. That same group almost did so to the new Speaker of the House Mike Johnson. However, Johnson is a little bit smarter and politically savvier than McCarthy and managed to survive the attempted coup of his leadership. Trump really had nothing to do with that coup, and this fringe has nowhere to go to but to Trump.

What is going on with the American Republican Party is also going on in Israeli politics. For a long time Benjamin Netanyahu has been beholden to a fringe extremist element in Israel that holds a lot of political power. Israel has a far more interesting issue of the power of their highest court being subjugated by the executive. Their system is different than ours as far as judicial and executive powers. Our Supreme Court has a greater power vis a vis the legislative and executive branches.

I rarely contribute to American politics because we got far worse problems in Canada but I will say this it that people continuing to vote for two sides of the same coin. The best and sensible candidate would be Chase Oliver.

People need to wake up and stop voting for two sides of the same thing. Smaller government is the best. Chase Oliver aligns with my values.

Among the key points I really like:

Oliver supports ending the Transportation Security Administration and with repealing the Patriot Act and FISA Amendments Act 2008.
Oliver supports ending qualified immunity for law enforcement at the federal level.
Oliver supports free trade and opposes tariffs.
Oliver supports letting the free market solution to finding solutions to climate change.

Both parties have an extremist wing. Where the republicans have gaetz and mtg the democrats have cori bush and ilhan omar.

The biggest difference is that the republican party is more grass roots while the democratic party is more establishment. A good example of this is delegates to choose the presidential nominee. Republicans go straight to state delegates while democrats reserve 1/3 of the vote to super delegates who represent the party establishment.

Trump would likely not have won a contested primary with super delegates. This of course is assuming a contested primary which almost never happen nowadays. You can ask Biden about this, he had the establishment on his side in 2020 to block Bernie and then in 2024 until the establishment turned on him!
