I am witnessing it here also half your posts and your supporters are always going on about the uneducated and the southerners voting republican, and the red states
Does a “ bunch of deplorables” ring a bell to you.
All this politically correct woke BS and pronoun crap finally got to the average American especially when they were having a hard time keeping afloat.. They voiced their anger with their vote.
Even dumb asses don’t like it to be continually rubbed in their face.
Just to clarify HRC's remarks about trump's "basket of deplorables" referred only to those who are " racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic" . She continued by saying his other supporters "are people who feel the government has let them down, nobody cares about them, nobody worries about what happens to their lives and their futures, and they're just desperate for change." I think what she said is 100% true, but it's unfortunate that the "deplorables" comment was all that some people remember.

Na this has been the theme of the Democrats for the past 3 elections that you are an uneducated moron if you don’t vote for them. Which you and your supporters also have repeated many times in this and other threads.
None of you are interested in unifying the country and trying to see it from the other guys perspective. Just keep on pushing the nonsense that lost the election
Guess the morons won lol.

Trump is doing a great job in unifying the country since January, unfortunately It's against him si far.
His approval % is 36 % ! And not climbing.
His blaming on Biden for the murder of a 20 years old National Guard is a complete lie.
This afghan helped US Army and thousands of them saved American loves.
Strangely, he lived in USA since 2021 peacefully.
Now, 9 months later he drove from Seattle to Washington and shot at 2 National Guard members. Why ? This happened after Trump deployed National Guard there.
Perhaps there is a relation between the two.

It's true that Democrats, as a whole, are more educated than MAGA Republicans. Education is something we used to aspire to not denigrate. Democrats believe in a more pluralistic, egalitarian society. Unfortunately, given how divided we are in core values as a nation, unification is unlikely. But we must continue to strive for it because the country cannot survive being so divided. Leaders, like trump, who are actively trying to divide us harm us all.

No it is the citizens themselves that harm each other, each sticking to their belief that the other side is evil or uneducated morons or smug elitists take your pick. You are the ones electing these scumbags and allowing this BS to go on and divide you. The posts on Merb are in line with what is going on in the US.
Both sides do nothing else except blame the other side.
It is sad to see such hatred and division, we have different political parties and there is a fair amount of blaming the other side going on but nothing close to the hatred and division that now exists in the US.

And it is getting worst since you know when and why.
When Georges W. Bush was President and after him Barak Obama for 8 years and I would even add Trump first presidency, the political climate was civilized.
In Trump first presidency, he was surrounded by "normal people mostly". Now he has chosen peuple that ressemble him !

Fun y thing ! The White House told today that Trump had MRI exams of his abdomen and circulation system and everything was Perfect.
They said nothing about his brain. I suppose they tried but only found an empty space in his skull !

Pluralistic society is a divided society by the definition. Nothing is wrong with having political discourse. It is a sign of the healthy and balanced system as soon as all parties adhere to well defined civilized rules. The courts need to stay independent, and the justice system should not be used as a political weapon. This rule has regrettably been broken by the democrats and is taken to new lows by the Trump administration as a retribution. This downward spiral needs to be stopped ASAP.

Hillary said half of Trump voters were deplorable. I don't see how someone can see Trump himself being cagey about child sexual abuse AND protecting those convicted for it (Epstein) and still support him. We Americans have known for years that Hillary's 50% was an underestimate. I don't see how anyone claiming to be decent or intelligent can still vote for Trump after EVERYTHING he's said and done.

Trump's war on Venezuela drug traffiquers seem strange after he pardonned the ex-president of another center or South-American country that was condemned to 45 years in prison.
His justification is that the guy was set-up by Biden le I'm not wrong.
Could the bad guy promised to give him a few Billions $.
At the end of his first presidency, there were rumors that he sold pardons for millions of $$$.

That's been his M.O. the whole time: do one thing in public or something that gets a lot of press attention, then do opposite for something that gets either less attention or barely any. He also pardoned the Silk Road guy earlier this year. The Silk Road guy not only sold drugs via the Internet, but he put out an assassination hit on half a dozen people.

Bombing drug boats is not how you stop drug dealers. Previous administrations would use Coast Guard to seize the people and keep the low-level traffickers alive so they can flip them. So basically, the stuff that happens in a million movie or TV shows involving drug dealing, which no one in this administration has seen, apparently.

I am not on the side of drug trafiquants but do they force Americans or Canadiens to use drug.
I worked with guys that used a little drug at night sometime but they did their job vert well each day.
Those who die from drug use are either responsable of their death or badlucky by using drug from unknow source.

Possibly one. I befriended a guy I met at a show years ago and he told me he had just gotten clean. He mentioned a lot of heroin is laced with fentanyl and this was six years ago. I tried to get in touch a few years ago and never heard from him. So he's either moved on from our friendship or he's not alive.

That story was just an anecdote. It's not supposed to make any point. The Republican view on drug users for decades was treating it as a personal responsibility issue. Inasmuch as addiction is a problem beyond people's control, there's some truth to that approach. All drugs, fentanyl-laced or not, come here because there is demand for drugs. Nixon never won his War On Drugs for this exact reason.

Some people became addicted from the single use. As you never know your response, the hard rule is - never try. In my personal view the addiction to hard drugs, especially opiates, is the medical problem. There is no reason why we will not have medical procedures in the future that will effectively cure addictions. Our society, for example, provides medical treatment often for free for people that got STD from unprotected sex instead of simply blaming them. What is the difference?
