^^^^ Trump to delay tariffs for 30 days after Canads commited to a $1.3 billion border plan. It is likely that Trump will harass Canada during the course of his term with threats of tariffs.
Have you embraced the possibility that such harassment was necessary and appropriate because your leaders were not prioritizing issues like border secuirty, illegal drug smuggling and illegal immigration? Do you believe Justin Trudeau stood for law and order?

You still do not see the facts. This is personal to Trump. Trump is messing with the Trudeau Liberals in the same way they messed with Trump when he lost the election. He wants revenge against him because Trudope mocked Trump when he lost the election. Mexico had 1.5 million ppl that was apprehended for crossing the border illegally. However they only caught 20,000 people crossing illegally from Canada. Look at the difference in the numbers. We do not have a border issue, most of the fentanyl is coming via the Mexican border. From Mexio they seized just over 40,000 lbs of fentanyl, while from Canada they seized less then a 100 lbs. This is not a border issue, this is 100% personal against Trudope and is having fun. Also Trump got a lot of backlash because of the immense economic damage that tariffs will cause. The border issue apply to Mexico. The numbers do not match.

Yes he truly does have a personal vendetta against Trudeau. Honestly many of us Canadians do.

Think about this, in 2024, USCBP seized 21,148 pounds of fentanyl at the southwest border, mostly smuggled from Mexico. But only 43 pounds were seized from the northern border.
These statistics are very misleading. The USA is pouring many more resources into drug sniffing dogs and trainers at the southern border and there is a much, much lighter force at the northern border, which is also much longer. Smugglers of course know this and choose the path of least resistance. It is for this reason that fentanyl labs have sprung up in Canada, posing a real threat on a much more lightly policed border.

Have you ever looked at a map and observed how long the Canadian border is with the USA? I will save you the geography lesson and tell you it's pretty fucking long and easy to penetrate. It's exactly for that reason and that there is a bigger threat from Mexico and more resources being used to combat it that the northern border is vulnerable and unpoliceable without Canadian help. C'mon man, just look at a map. You think it's easy to police all of the entry points on the Great Lakes and that there are K9s in boats waiting to intercept whomever comes over with a stash of fentanyl? If I am a smuggler in Canada I am looking at that map and saying "bring it on, see if you can catch us. You can't be everywhere"

It is hard for me to realize that you turned into such a fervent Trump believer /worshipper! You should know at your age that the war on drugs is probably the biggest scam ever.

Not a single government, US or others, ever gives a f**k about how many people die from the drug usage and trafficking. With all the technologies and power that the USA can use, they could eradicate any traffick and production anywhere around the globe. All that matter is where does the money ends.

This is turning into another Trumpist rally! There is nothing to do with these, even in ten years from when all the ashes has settle down, they will keep denying how harmful the Orange guy is their country and credibility.

I’m out, I sure have better use for my time.

Fentanyl, emigration, are you kidding? This is not about it. You guys don’t get it. You put balls of your neighbor between door and the frame and start to squeeze and when neighbor starts to cry you say that this is all the door’s fault. Let’s remove it. You guys adapt the real dollar (US) instead of your fanny Canadian fake and we have no border customs. By the way you also need to wet all your emigration with us as there is no border anymore and please pay for this missile defence system we are building on your north. Buy the way, your small French Them Park called Quebec needs some renovation. We need to build there Eiffel tower two times taller than in Paris together with the longest des Champs-Élysées in the world. By the way, from now on the name of Quebec City is American Paris.

Trade agreements mean nothing to him.

He thinks he wins either way:

Gets what he wants through the threat of tariffs [ie. redressing trade imbalances, what he calls "subsidies" to other countries, which is what this is all about] or he derives enormous revenue for tax cuts by their use ...

Much of the non-Western world is already coalescing economically under BRICS to counterbalance US hegemony, especially regarding the dollar. This is why Trump threatens 100% tariffs on any country that drops it as reserve currency.

But America's unipolar moment is over. And Rubio just admitted as much ....

So another way of looking at this is as the US imposing a kind of discipline on its "recalcitrant" allies & friends: thus asserting its continued dominance and getting us all in line for the strategic battle with China ...

Which is why it was always absurd to assert that Trump is much of a threat to the "deep state." Unlike the Democrats, he may not be interested in so many regime-change operations (hence opposition to USAID); but otherwise his goals are consistent with longstanding US national security policy.

I think MNM nailed it with the above post. The only thing I will add is that there was likely a lot of collateral damage with USAID which is why the two senior leaders were so freaked out about DOGE accessing classified files that the US Marshals had to be called in. The collateral damage is that USAID is a breeding/staging ground for CIA field operations. Musk unwittingly likely sabotaged a bunch of them. It's always good cover for a spy to pretend to be part of a foreign aid agency, this is Intelligence Operations 101. Not sure what cover they will use now.

Trudiot , quiooot!
Trudiot is like Biden, Desmarais s puppy

I would compare TRUMP to Trudeau, two incompetent idiots !
If you don't agree just look at the next months or years that will prove me right.
Fortunately there could be wise men in his administration to control him ! Look at who will be in charge of Health : Rbert Kennedy Jr. The man that got half his brain eaten by a worm !
