His favorability polling has ticked up, but he is still underwater with slightly higher unfavorably poll numbers. Being underwater this early in his presidency is unprecedented, but everything is unprecedented with him. MAGA Americans will always approve of him, and even traditional conservative republicans may speak out but seemingly always come back to him. In our deeply divided and tribal partisan society objective critical thinking is discouraged so poll numbers don't move very much from their baseline. Independent voters in a few swing states decide elections, so that's who the pollsters should be polling.

What I cant understand is that his popularity rateings are going up?

Given that the LA police force has 90,000 officers/the 2nd largest in the country.....so it's a safe bet they have all the manpower to contain the situation....lollll

9,000 police officers in LAPD plus another 9,000+ in the LA Sheriff Department. That's way more than enough to handle the situation that covers a few blocks in downtown Los Angeles. The overnight curfew was an important step because the criminals come out at night while the peaceful protesters go home.

Coming back to tarifs, Trump is threathenning Brazil with 50% tarifs in retaliation for the justice System targeting the highly corrupt ex-President Bolsonaro tha tried to steal elections. Exactly what Trump tried to do in 2020 by organizing groups of Fake Grand Electors in key States and encouraging and probably helped organising the Jan 6th 2021 Capitol insurrection whose goal was to stop the confirmation vote for Biden.

When the tariffs were originally announced my stock and bonds portfolio dropped around 10%. Now it's worth more than when the tariffs were first announced. It's gone up. So something must be working.
