Coming back to tariffs, it doesn't look good for Canada.
The main negociator for USA, M. Lutnik repeat that what he agrees with Canada could be thrown to the dumpster by Trump if he get up on the wrong foot !

The Congress is supposed to rule not the executive power.
Either he knew it or he is ignorant and his economic nominées are toi.

lol. well, I don't think the fed level funds were funding the private university day-to-day ops, (that would be horrid) i think it's a culture of funding for one thing, the common 'studies' the schools would be able to do. i'm not a expert on this topic but it seemed
like a medical arm of a given university would be able to perform scientific studies they otherwise would have to use their own money for, they got 'used' to that and dependent on that.
it's like certain schools got so used to revenue from allowing abundance of foreign student enrollment... now they are dependent on it nearly... or a city that got addicted to tourism... city govt loves it for the revenue,. .locals hate it.

That's exactly correct. I've seen it play out this way before. Republicans mess up the country because they are incapable of governing. Democrats then get elected and try to fix the mess but can't entirely. Republicans blame Democrats for not fixing the Republican mess and the voters with short memories, put Republicans back in charge. It's no wonder the U.S. is a failing country.
