Sadly, that is true about some Americans - but not all of us or even the majority of us. Most Americans care about and respect Canada as a trusted ally and neighbor. I am ashamed and embarrassed by the idiot in the White House and by how he is treating your country. This moron is not only ruining and dividing the United States but the world. Independent voters in the 6 or so swing states that decide our presidential elections (don't get me started on the stupidity and unfairness of the Electoral College) are coming to their senses and will vote against these right-wing extremists and against trumpism. Unfortunately, great damage has been done and will continue for another 2+ years, but we will overcome. I understand your emotions, and you have every right to feel that way, but please don't hate us all.

I have travelled on business for many years throughout the US and while I don’t think on average they are well educated compared to Europe most of the people are decent human beings wanting the same things, basically a better life for their children than they had.
It is their shit politicians that are to blame but politicians aren’t that great in Canada either.

You said it Carnival was ouch we had fun but lot of things on the boat were broken. Like i said and this is for every nationality, i talk to people wont judge but it all depends and what you say to me, and how you treat me or others. Are all Americans bad no of course not but from my personal experience i had less than stellar encounters with them, this is why i chose not to retire in an expat community in Mexico, in old age i want to enjoy my remaining years not get into arguments and fights about how better a country is than the other.
