I think the fact that the Seperatists thinks that they were defeated by the "ethnic vote" as oppose to "the majority of voters disagree with you", it hints to racism.
The French speakers want a seperate government right in the heart of Canada as they expect people to vote for that cause? What real benefits does it offer anyone else who's not a francophone? There are OTHER people living in this province. The referendum clearly showed that the majority of the people living here --- ethnic or otherwise, I don't see what difference it makes, do not want to seperate from Canada. I don't see many English speakers lobbying for a seperate Quebec, are we all Ethnics now because we don't agree with a MINORITY part of Quebec who want to seperate?

Oh yeah... Anyone went to McGill's Grad in the past few days?
My brother graduated from McGill just two days ago (Biology, Undergrad) and I noticed something very interesting in the ceremony. There were only a handful (read: maybe 10 at MOST) out of some 500 Science Grads who were black (I kid you not, get access to a McGill grad book for Science, you will see). They get loud excited cheers not only from their family (4 members allowed per student, maximum) but also other Blacks. I figured that it must mean something "more" to a Black person to graduate in McGill science than other ethnic groups.
The point is that maybe the unemployment rate of Blacks can be attributed to the fact that they are on average LESS educated or at least educated in different fields. Do you know how many Arts/History/Journalism majors end up competing for limited amount of jobs whereas jobs in Science/Computer are plentiful (yes, a lot of R&D and IT jobs are being outsourced, but even so it's still relatively easy to find a job with a degree in those fields).
, thats is the ratio between black and white ppl. cant really explain why the unemployment rate is so high... Many most of them are students are stop looking for a job
