not exactly upscale hotels, but I was wondering if anyone had any opinions - good or bad, about the Holiday Inn Select or the Days Inn downtown (215 Rene-levesque). I know the Holiday Inn has the elevators on a different floor from the frontdesk, so that's a good thing, but what's the Days Inn like?

Ive always stayed at the Hotel Vogue and enjoy its location. Has anyone ever had an outcall service to this hotel? I know the elevators require a access card.

I have visited several clients at the Vogue, I simply go to the front desk, tell them my clients name and room number, saying he is my friend and is expecting me, and they give me a card for the elevator.

Holiday Inn Select

This place is more upscale than say, the Delta Mtl. The rooms are very nice and comfortable, quite new, and the lobby looks great. It has an indoor fountain near the bar, and a restaurant located further away in the lobby. It's the most sp-friendly hotel i know, if you want your encounters to be as discreet as possible.

It's also a very nice hotel to stay at during the summer months, since it's a few steps away from Old Mtl and Place Jacques Cartier.
It's located in Chinatown, and i'd recommend it to visitors who are getting tired of the Downtown scene (ex-Crescent & St-Catherine street, etc).

I personally found the chinese restaurant (I believe it's called Lotus Bleu) at this hotel very reasonably priced and the food very good.

On that street, go the Sheraton.

I totally agree with Lawless' statement!

I doubt many hobbyists would prefer the option you just described, Ronnie. I also doubt many providers want to go through the trouble of going to the front desk and state the obvious (the hotel staff aren't this stupid). The elevator, however, does go to the 2nd floor without the room card having to be used. Once there, the lady could use the stairwell if the client's room is only a floor or so up.

As I said I never had a problem and yes you are right the hotel staff are not stupid, do you think you are fooling them? They do not care. You can also meet me in the lobby.

I do dress discreetly so especially for afternoon appointements I could very well be there to discuss business.

Also I am not going to do stairs carrying my toy bag, especially in the summer when I am likely to have heels on.

Hotel Delta

Just visited Montreal this weekend and would highly recommend getting a "Club Signature" room at the Hotel Delta. They just renovated these rooms and are very spacious, has a balcony, a cd player/clock radio, high speed internet, and a nice sitting area. I booked it for $40US on Priceline and upgraded once I got there for an additional $50CAD. For roughly $100CAD, I got a spacious updated room on the 23rd floor with a great view of the city. Plus its a block from a liquor store and two blocks to Ste Catherine.

For tips on using priceline, go to www.biddingfortravel.com.
