Over the summer in the states we had anywhere from 30-70 thousand new cases a day. Deaths were around 500-1,500 per day. The USA, Mexico, Canada, and pretty much the rest of the world kept their borders closed. With the vaccines slowly but surely making its way into peoples arms I was curious as to what numbers or statistics we think the different governments will want in place before borders are really considering to be open. Obviously now or anytime in the next couple of months there’s no chance of this with most countries surging. But I was trying to foresee what the world will look like when we are allowed to travel to different countries “freely” again. Maybe a universal vaccine card but only when new cases are below a certain number per capita along with temperature checks and random Covid tests. I don’t think it’s going to be as simple as showing my NEXUS card and cruising through customs like it was back in the pre Covid days.
