Look behind you.
^^^^^^^ Up 1 & 2. Not sure about he US but we can pull $1,200.00 a day here from ATM's and you are not an international arms dealer, no need to worry about a paper trail. ATM's everywhere , why detour for change...

Maybe. But if I'm using $1,200 a day to bang hookers in another country I'd rather not have an easy way for it to get back to me IMHO.

This is the most convenient way, but IMHO going the extra step to exchange cash will net you more cash to play with and more importantly, no paper trail. To me, that’s very important. Cash is king, and no paper trail.

Not sure I follow your 'no paper trail' point, and not sure of the importance ... unless concealing from spouse or significant other?

Using your remark, cash would need to be taken out at home - a paper trail of the withdrawal is created ... then convert using that service mentioned within this thread (Off St. Catherine and Peel) ... no trail there, but certainly one for a larger amount back home.

I use ATM - is $5.00 fee then like 2% of transacted funds for foreign transaction fee... use to not be there, but banks change all the time. Still MUCH cheaper than giving away USD$ to agency at rate of CAD$ .... that would not be wise.

You are still taking the funds from somewhere, it would make no difference if you took funds out in the US and went to a Canadian exchange or if you took Canadian funds out of an ATM, there is a paper trail unless you slowly put $100 away here and there over time to be sneaky about it. You honestly spend $1,200.00 a day on escorts?

I'm probably old school, so I have a certain amount of cash available to me at all times. In today's world it's not the norm, but it is in my world. So, cash would not be 'taken out at home". It's not really important, just important to me I guess.

Back to the money. An atm charge of $5.00 and another 2% is quite a bit more than stopping in at Calforex and paying a small exchange fee of $3.75. It's a no brainer.
