Alors je me remets à peine de l'onde de choc d'hier soir.......MAIS heureusement il y a encore du gros tennis à venir.......et dès ce soir.

Women''s semifinals tonight in primetime.

---STEPHENS VS VENUS.....i love love Sloane BUT sorry......

---COCO vs MADISON.....tough call...like both of them...BUT if COCO is in her A game and stays calm,,in control of her emotions......she coud do it....and even Saturday for the Championship.

So have a super and exciting evening.

Was very surprised to read Pliskova's post match comments about Coco. It was just poor sportsmanship. You were the number one seed and lost in straight sets. Just say that you sucked. No need to take shots at the opponent. You would never hear any of that from Federer or Nadal who are class acts.

I like a final of Williams vs Vandeweghe. I am pulling for Venus. She has not played her best tennis the past couple matches but has shown the ability to persevere and pick up her level of play when needed. She will need to do that again against these younger and hard hitting opponents.

Sloane Stephens has an awful second serve that Venus is clobbering every time. She has to improve this against top players. It's not high level professional.

WOW....after Roger,,,Venus,,,,,don't know what to say......BUT finally am happy for Sloane.....she desserves it.....she played perfectly in the third set....et c'est elle qui est allé cherché ses points en jouant de facon brillante et agressive. Sloane is the STAR of the year. Listen....this girl came back from almost one year-injury two months ago....she was ranked 934 ème.....since she did the semis in Toronto, Cincinnati and now la finale du US OPEN....quand même incroyable....et si elle gagnait----ce que je lui souhaite---elle se retrouverait DANS LE TOP 20.....du jamais vu. CHEERS CHEERS CHEERS jeune fille au sourire lumineux.
Pour moi Sloane est l'athlète féminine de l'année.

CARRERO BUSTA VS ANDERSON..... qui l'aurait prévu.....no clue.....why not Anderson...he is 6'8...SUD-AFRICAIN....28 years old.....c'est son moment de gloire.

DEL POTRO VS NADAL......évidemment c'est le match du jour.....i already picked Nadal to win that tournament.....BUT could we have another big surprise.......should b exciting to watch.

Today's is the final on the men's side ;)

If Keys plays same way she played yesterday she will also destroy Sloane. Yesterday every shot she tried worked! Coco a rien vu! Le premier set as pris 18 minutes! Le temps d'aller te chercher un chips et une bière pis tu as raté la moitié du match!

Cheers,

I felt Sloane played well and hard against Venus but frankly it was a close match, Sloane got some breaks on big points and it could have gone either way. I noticed Sloane's second serve was very substandard and was getting crushed. 62 mph second serve is going to be returned with extreme velocity. If Sloane can make a high % of first serves she has a chance as she is an extremely fit player and not someone Keys wants to have long rallies with. Keys is definitely favorite in this match.

Both Stephens and Keys went to the prestigious Chris Evert tennis academy in Florida and have known each other well off court for years. Stephens won the only prior tour match between the two in 2015.

I could have predicted Nadal would take out Del Potro in 4 sets, really steamrolling him in the last set of the match. I would expect Nadal to win the tournament. He is an all time great player, and even with his 15 major wins I feel like injuries and playing hurt have held him back rather substantially. If healthy his whole career, he would have as many majors as Federer or more. Talent plus toughness galore.
