viagra or cialis?

I've done the MERB search, but couldn't find anything close to this question.:-

My doc has given me 2 prescriptions - one for Viagra, one for Cialis. He said I could try both. He said cost is a factor so he gave me 100mg Viarga which can be cut in half (if 50mg works) and cuts the cost in half. The Cialis are 20mg.

He liked Cialis for its 36 hour "weekender" possibilities. The side effects seem the same for both. So I'm thinking that if I only want a boost for 4 hours or so, for example, a one time SP session followed by a couple of days without sex, The 1/2 Viagra pill might be the best and cheapest choice.

Does anyone have any experience in this area?

If you want strength and power and you want to get busy for 2 or 3 SOG, Viagra is the choice.

Based on wimbledon's comments cialis seems better option

I got a connection for both viagras and cialis. I prefer Viagra cause i can feel when the pill kicks in. (a little flush and nose semi-stuffy)
Cialis is good too it does last 18 hours like they say with zero side effects.

Wow! This is quite the endorsment! I would stick with the 20mg cialis if I were you than.

For me, I have tried Levitra, Viagra, and cCalis. I am doing the 10mg cialis right now and htey are great for road trips. However, I really liked the viagra. I love the sensation of poping one and feeling myself become erect 20 minutes later. Right now I am sticking with the cialis incase my Termas visits turn into one night stands. I bought 3 hits of viagra last time in Brazil (in Brazil and Argentina you can buy them over the counter like condoms). I am going to try them for a 1 hour date...I may switch back

Just remember, none of these increase SOG. They ensure an erection. The SOG is a whole other dynamic. I use Viagra sometimes for a boost. It definitely shortens the recovery period and often I remain hard after the first SOG. But I also find that it is harder for me to reach the subsequent SOG...but I can keep banging away without any effort. I think the reason my 2nd (or 3rd, 4th,etc) SOG is harder to achieve is that the sense of urgency is somewhat disapated and I subconciencly know that I am invincible! so it is more mental than a physical reaction of the Viagra.

Side effects don't bother me.

So...with Viagra...I get hard quickly, and stay hard for as long as I want. I achieve good control for first SOG. For subsequent SOG it takes me progressively longer to achieve that SOG.

Thanks for all the helpful replies. In fact, the comments above are just about the best summary of the drugs, and how to use them I have read.

BTW, somewhere along the line I read that the patent on Viagra runs out in March 2012. This should bring cheap, safe (i.e. not made in a pigsty in India) generics to the market. Anyone else heard this?

Yes this is true and the more mg's I take (the higher the dose) the more this is true. And I have had this happpen with viagra and Cialis.

One thing I forgit is that Viagra would make my face kind of red.

Anyone have problems when they drink and take either of these medications?

talk to a pharmacist (for a 2nd opinion) about these pills before u order a batch! there are side-effects u might not like.
for some, there may be diminishing returns in the short-term... meaning u might get a couple of great woodies but after that it'll take more pills + re-charge time might take longer.
then consider the amt of time meds need to work themselves outta your system.

There are plenty of "online pharmacies" offering cheap generic versions without a prescription. But BEWARE, the products are made in India in very dubious "labs". Worse, many of the web sites are scams. They look like a pharmacy, but just want to get your credit card payment, and never send the promised product. I guess many guys are too embarrassed to complain to the credit card company, so the scam works.

Folks, NEVER, EVER get a generic version of Viagra from a third world country. My friend is a doctor and dealt with two cases. Older guy died from a stroke after using Viagra he bought in a Dominican Republic pharmacy. Then when he was working in Mexico, there was a 20 year old guy that ended up with brain damage and is now partially paralyzed with no short term memory. This is not worth saving $15 or so dollars that you pay for a pill.

I would still be concerned that it might be a knock-off and not the actual thing. Sometimes they get very creative with packaging, labels, etc, and I am not talking just about meds. Did it work the same for you?

Levitra is not affected by the ingestion of fat into the body

The ingestion of fat is a sure issue with Cialis and Viagra..

If you need to get maximum absorption( and achieve full potential within the shortest possible time ) , cut a pill in half, and tuck it under yout tongue

The taste is horrible, but it'll be active in 15 -20 minutes

See your Doc and talk to your Pharmacist. Get over your embarrassment, you will be amazed at how understanding they are, they are guys too, actually I had a female doc who was great to talk to as well.

Never lie to your doctor or lawyer ! Good scripts for good ED meds can have severe interactions with other drugs! (Sotolaol and levitra) My pharmacist picked this up and probably saved my butt (at Walmart no less, he pulled me aside and privately talked to me without embarrassing me)

I have found Viagra and Cialis effective in countering the ED effects of blood pressure meds like HCT (Hydro Chloro Thyazide) and Terazosin But you really need to talk to your doc (and with no disrespect, I don't mean doc Holiday - ha ha)

Good advice. My first bitch Dr...she treated aspirin like it was an experimental drug. She wouldn't perscribe it for me. So I found a new Dr that gave me several free samples at different doses. finally, He said, Man I have to write you a script (no more freebies).
