Joe.t,

I do not think clubs will reopen till 2021. The problem is the government. They do not stop with their security. Even if they reopen government rules will destroy them. Enforced masks and two meter rule.

i think bars will open this summer, albeit with some rules. They have given a plan for restaurants, bars will be next. It is clubs that are the real problem. tons of people squeezed together

Yes but what rules? Enforced masks? Dancing 2 meters away? Who will be interested?

How will they reopen? Masks and two meter rule? No lapdances. La Broussaile announced they will be opening soon but with a terrasse and no strippers. I will things are good when social distance rules are history. No masks, no two meters, back to high mileage dances.

I don't know the details but if they implement rules such as the ones that you are describing then the clubs might as well stay closed, another thing to worry about is if there is a rebound with the virus which a lot of people are predicting then everything will be shut down again for a significant time.

I just saw on the La Broussaille site that it will reopen with a terrasse but with no strippers. I figure the clubs that have a kitchen will open as a resto bar. Government rules will wipe them out. One thing I will say that if there are no spike in cases after two weeks since the big anti-racism riots they best reopen everything and remove social distance rules. Enough of this police state.

Joe.t - I am so with you on this. I miss the Montreal area clubs.

On my first day on the job in NY(just out of college), my boss gave me the lay of the land and the rules. Rule #1: "Never take a credit card to a strip club. Take a set amount of cash you can afford to lose and nothing else." Man this was a hard lesson to learn. Oh sure in the NY clubs they would say - "We love you Gary", but I think they loved the gold card more. So glad Montreal takes only cash.

Gary's last NY Club visit

clubs are open in Ottawa: Barefax, Nuden and Playmate are open, clubs in Toronto are open, I realize the 1 am closing time in Quebec is discouraging however Pigale in Gatineau north of Ottawa is open as is Bar 77 in Gatineau, if Pigale and Bar 77 can be open near Ottawa under the same closing rules as in Montreal then why can't the clubs in Montreal be open ? Also La Source in Val Morin is open
