Weirdest thing happened today

Who needs CNN? All I have to do to know the reality of honour killings is go out my front door and take a walk in Angrignon Park where a girl was found dead in a public washroom a couple of years ago, a victim of an honour killing committed by her brother. Or that girl who was killed a year or two ago by being drowned in a car by her mother I believe. There was even a heated thread about it here on the board. Sure it's not a common event in Montreal or even in Canada, but then murder in general isn't that common an event in Canada either. But both do happen.

What's your point? Have you seen the east end at night where french pimps are drugging, abusing and killing their girls everyday? It's a much more widespread problem than our incidents of honor killings in montreal lol. Does it define the french population? By the way, nice to meet u techman heard a lot about u on Merc, i don't believe all of it though. But Sir, what is your point?

Montreal reality is that communications between people of different cultures does not always run smoothly

True and also lack of understanding between the two cultures, which is largely due to the fact that both sides have been conditioned to see things a certain way. They think we are a valueless decadent society whereas we think they are way too rigid, conservative and overprotective of their girls "can't she take her body garment off for two seconds so we can see her booty". Breaking the barriers of conditioning is often an impossiblity.

I'm not saying that it defines any culture, just that it does happen and can't be denied. Believe what you want on merc. There isn't one person there who knows anything about me anyways but I still have a copy of their entire committee forum from back in the day that may find it's way to a blog somewhere sometime in the future. Lovemaker, I am friend with many Arab people and even more that are simply Muslims. Nobody can deny what even these people are saying about their own compatriots. I did not say anywhere that the scenario was expected to happen 100%, I said it was a possibility.
